Top Wanya Morris News

  • Chiefs' Wanya Morris: Placed on IR

The Chiefs placed Morris (knee) on injured reserve Saturday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Morris sustained a season-ending knee injury during the Week 14 loss to the Texans, so his move to injured reserve comes as no surprise. Jaylon Moore and Esa Pole are expected to serve as the team's starting tackles for Sunday's matchup versus the Chargers, as Jawaan Taylor (triceps) is also out. Morris will shift his focus to getting healthy in time for the start of the 2026 campaign.

  • Chiefs' Wanya Morris: Won't play vs. Chargers

Morris (knee) is officially listed as out for Sunday's game versus the Chargers, Matt McMullen of the Chiefs' official site reports.

As expected, Morris will sit out in Week 15, and it's still believed he will miss the remainder of the season as he recovers from a bone bruise in his right knee. With him and Jawaan Taylor (triceps) sidelined, Jaylon Moore and Esa Pole project to start as Kansas City's left and right tackles, respectively.

  • Chiefs' Wanya Morris: Doesn't practice Wednesday

Morris (knee) didn't participate in Kansas City's practice Wednesday, per Matt Derrick of ChiefsDigest.com.

Morris' absence doesn't come as a surprise, as it was previously announced that he'd miss the remainder of the season due to the knee injury he sustained during the Week 14 loss to the Texans. Jaylon Moore should take over as the team's starting left tackle going forward.

  • Chiefs' Wanya Morris: Done for year

Morris suffered a season-ending knee injury in Sunday's 20-10 loss to the Texans, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Morris drew the start at left tackle in Week 14, but he was forced to exit the game after just one play due to a knee injury. Esa Pole replaced him in the contest, and if Jawaan Taylor (elbow) remains sidelined moving forward, Pole could remain in the starting lineup.

  • Chiefs' Wanya Morris: Downgraded to out

Morris (knee) is out for the rest of Sunday night's game against the Texans.

The offensive lineman started the game at left tackle, as Jaylon Moore moved to right tackle with Jawaan Taylor nursing an elbow injury. Esa Pole has replaced Morris.

  • Chiefs' Wanya Morris: Questionable to return Sunday night

Morris (knee) is questionable to return to Sunday night's game against the Texans.

The offensive lineman was making his first start of 2025, at left tackle, as Jawaan Taylor's elbow injury forced Jaylon Moore to move over to right tackle. Esa Pole is in at left tackle in place of Morris.

  • Chiefs' Wanya Morris: Making first start of 2025

Morris will start at left tackle against the Texans on Sunday, Sam McDowell of The Kansas City Star reports.

Morris has played 17 offensive snaps in three of the Chiefs' last five games as a depth option on the offensive line. With Jawaan Taylor (elbow) sidelined, Jaylon Moore will shift over to right tackle for Sunday's game, which opens the door for Morris to serve as Kansas City's starting left tackle.
