The Rangers designated Kelenic for assignment Sunday.
Kelenic has now been cast off a 40-man roster on three occasions, with the Rangers DFAing him the last two times. The 27-year-old outfielder has slashed just .219/.313/.288 with one home run, six RBI and five runs across 83 plate appearances at the big-league level this season between stops with the White Sox and Rangers. He's unlikely to get claimed off waivers and could elect free agency once he clears.
