Mets manager Carlos Mendoza on Tuesday confirmed that Quintana will start Thursday in Game 4 of the NLCS versus the Dodgers, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports. Quintana has permitted just one unearned run over 11 innings in two starts this postseason, and, including those two outings, boasts a 0.57 ERA across his last eight starts dating back to late August. He will be opposed by Yoshinobu Yamamoto.

During his last regular-season start against the Brewers on Saturday, Quintana allowed two earned runs on five hits and two walks while striking out nine batters in just 4.1 innings, but he ended up taking the loss. The veteran lefty will now look to get some revenge on the Crew in what will be the sixth postseason appearance of his 13-year career.

Quintana (10-10) allowed two runs on five hits and two walks while striking out nine over 4.1 innings to take the loss versus the Brewers on Saturday. Quintana was pushed back in the rotation after a pair of rainouts in Atlanta due to Hurricane Helene. This was his first start since Sept. 18, and while he put in a decent performance, the Mets' offense mustered just two hits and a walk in support. Quintana has been dominant lately, allowing just four runs (three earned) across 36.1 innings over his last six starts of the regular season. His nine strikeouts Saturday were a season high. He ends the regular season with a 3.75 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 135:63 K:B over 170.1 innings spanning 31 starts. Should the Mets secure a playoff spot, Quintana may be included in the rotation during the wild-card round.

Quintana (10-9) allowed two hits and two walks while striking out four over seven shutout innings to earn the win Wednesday over the Nationals. Quintana has won four straight starts and has excelled over his last five outings. In that longer span, he has allowed just two runs (one earned) across 32 innings with a 20:9 K:BB. All six of Quintana's scoreless outings this year have come since the start of July. He lowered his ERA to 3.74 with a 1.24 WHIP and 126:61 K:BB through 166 innings over 30 starts this year.
