  • Braves' Matt Olson: Ejected Saturday
    By RotoWire

Olson was ejected from Saturday's contest against the Pirates ahead of the seventh inning, Grant McAuley of the Marietta Daily Journal reports. Olson was called for interference while running to first base in the bottom of the sixth inning, and he was ultimately sent home by the home plate umpire for arguing between frames. Eli White replaced him at first base versus Pittsburgh. Olson finished his night 0-for-3 with a strikeout at the plate.

  • Braves' Matt Olson: Up to 29 homers
    By RotoWire

Olson went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Friday's 9-3 loss to Pittsburgh. Atlanta may have waited too long to heat up in the win column as it relates to their playoff aspirations, but Olson has certainly been on fire at the dish for fantasy managers. Over his last 234 plate appearances since the beginning of August, the All-Star first baseman is slashing .296/.372/.544 with 27 extra-base hits and 26 RBI. Olson has 94 RBI on the campaign and will likely fall short of his fourth career 100-RBI year, barring a torrid finish in 2025, but his 29 round trippers give him a chance to record his fifth career 30-homer season.

  • Olson went 3-for-10 with a double, a triple, a home run, two runs scored and four RBI in Tuesday's doubleheader sweep of the Nationals. After launching a solo shot off Jake Irvin in the matinee, Olson played hero in the top of the 10th inning in the nightcap with a bases-loaded triple. The first baseman has been on an absolute tear of late, batting .478 (11-for-23) over his last five games with eight of those hits going for extra bases (three doubles, a triple and four homers). On the year, he's up to 27 homers and 91 RBI in 152 contests, giving him a shot at his fifth career 30-HR campaign and fourth career 100-RBI season.

The Atlanta first baseman produced his second four-RBI performance of the season while posting three extra-base hits in a contest for the first time in 2025. Olson gave his squad a 5-1 lead with a three-run blast in the fifth off Nationals starter Mitchell Parker. The three-time All-Star has been on fire in September, batting .378 (17-for-45) with five round trippers, 11 runs scored and 10 RBI across 13 games.
