Hill (neck) will start in center field and bat ninth Friday against the Angels, Lochlahn March of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports. After leaving Saturday's game against the Cardinals due to neck stiffness, Hill missed three straight games before entering Thursday's contest off the bench. Now fully healthy, he'll fill in for Justin Crawford while the Phillies take on left-hander Reid Detmers.

Hill was removed from Saturday's game against the Cardinals due to neck stiffness, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports. Hill went 1-for-2 with an RBI double before being replaced by Justin Crawford in the sixth inning. The Phillies should have an update on Hill once he undergoes more tests, but he is in jeopardy of being out of the lineup for Sunday's series finale.

Hill (hand) was used off the bench Monday and Wednesday during the Phillies' series versus the Marlins, going 1-for-1 with a walk and two RBI between the two games. Hill hurt his right hand when he was hit by a pitch in Saturday's 9-1 win over the Twins, and though he hasn't been included in the lineup since, his usage off the bench on two occasions suggests that he's healthy. In addition to reaching base in both of his plate appearances during the series with Miami, Hill also played three innings in center field and one in right field.

Hill (shoulder) will start in right field and bat sixth in Monday's game against the Cardinals. Hill made an early departure from Wednesday's 10-4 loss to the Nationals due to a right shoulder contusion, but the Phillies never viewed the injury as a major concern. The Phillies made the veteran outfielder available off the bench for each of their ensuing four games, with Hill making an appearance as a pinch runner Friday and then going 1-for-4 with an RBI and playing seven innings in center field after subbing in for Justin Crawford during Sunday's contest. With Hill's shoulder checking out fine, he'll now enter the starting nine for Monday's series opener while Bryce Harper gets a day off from playing in right field but sticks in the lineup at designated hitter.

Phillies interim manager Don Mattingly said Thursday that Hill (shoulder) could be "ready to go" off the bench in Thursday's game versus the Nationals, Charlotte Varnes of The Athletic reports. Hill was removed from Wednesday's contest after slamming hard into the outfield wall while trying to make a catch. He remains sore, but Hill might be available off the bench for Thursday's series finale.
