The Giants placed Rogers on waivers Wednesday, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports. Rogers has been a valuable piece of San Francisco's bullpen this season, posting a 2.45 ERA and 1.21 WHIP across 51.1 innings. However, in an effort to shed payroll, the Giants will now allow any other team to take him in, as long as they are willing to pay the remaining $2 million left on his salary this year and the $12 million he's owed in 2025. If no other club is willing to take on the additional salary, Rogers will simply remain with the Giants.

Rogers (1-4) allowed an unearned run on one hit and struck out one over one inning, taking the extra-inning loss Monday versus Atlanta. Rogers gave up the lone run of the game on a sacrifice fly in the 10th inning. He's been fairly steady since the start of July, posting a 2.63 ERA over 13.2 innings in that span, just a touch worse than his 2.25 ERA for the year. He's added a 1.19 WHIP, 56:15 K:BB and five holds over 48 innings overall. While the Giants' bullpen has been restructured after Camilo Doval was demoted to Triple-A last week, Rogers is still unlikely to see much high-leverage work, with Ryan Walker just named the closer and Tyler Rogers and Jordan Hicks slotting in as the preferred setup men.

Rogers (1-3) allowed a run on two hits and struck out one in one-third of an inning, taking the loss Saturday versus the Twins. Rogers served up a go-ahead solo home run to Carlos Santana in the sixth inning, and the Giants couldn't bounce back from it. This was Rogers' first loss in two months, and prior to Saturday he had given up just two runs (one earned) over his prior 22 innings. He's now at a 2.15 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 41:13 K:BB through 37.2 innings while adding four holds in a middle-relief role this year.

Rogers (1-2) allowed two runs (one earned) on one hit and one walk while striking out two over one inning, taking the extra-inning loss versus the Dodgers on Monday. Will Smith hit a two-run double off Rogers with one out in the 10th inning, and the Giants were unable to answer it in their half of the frame. Rogers remains inconsistent -- he's given up four runs (three earned) over six innings in May, but he also has a 12:1 K:BB in that span. For the season, he's at a 4.11 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 21:4 K:BB with three holds over 15.1 innings.

Rogers (1-1) struck out two and hit one batter without allowing a hit, walk or run over two-thirds of an inning, earning the win Saturday versus the Reds. Rogers relieved Mason Black in the fifth inning, and while he faced a bases-loaded situation, he was able to escape the jam unscathed. Rogers has kept runs off the board in four of his six appearances in May while posting a 10:0 K:BB over five innings. The southpaw is at a 3.77 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 19:3 K:BB with three holds through 14.1 innings overall.
