The Mets optioned Coonrod to Triple-A Syracuse on Wednesday. Coonrod allowed six earned runs over 1.1 innings (three appearances) during his one-week stay in the Mets' bullpen. Joey Lucchesi has been called up in a corresponding roster move and will start Wednesday versus the Diamondbacks.

The Mets recalled Coonrod from Triple-A Syracuse on Tuesday, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports. Coonrod has missed most of this season due to a high-grade lat strain, but he's pitched to a 1.69 ERA over 5.1 major-league innings (seven relief appearances) when healthy. The 30-year-old right-hander will be available out of the bullpen Tuesday at Washington.

The Mets optioned Coonrod to Triple-A Syracuse on Wednesday. Coonrod will head to the minors to make room on the 26-man active roster for right-hander Denyi Reyes, who was called up from Syracuse ahead of his scheduled start Wednesday versus the Rangers. Since being reinstated from the 60-day injured list Aug. 14, Coonrod has posted a 1.69 ERA and 0.94 WHIP over 5.1 innings in seven appearances out of the bullpen.

The Mets activated Coonrod (lat) from the 60-day injured list Monday, Tim Britton of The Athletic reports. Coonrod is finally ready to make his Mets debut, five months after being diagnosed with a high-grade lat strain. The righty reliever posted a 4.82 ERA and 12:7 K:BB over 9.1 minor-league rehab innings (10 appearances) between Single-A St. Lucie and Triple-A Syracuse.
