Lowe is absent from the lineup for Monday's game in Philadelphia. Southpaw Cristopher Sanchez is drawing the start for the Phillies, so it's not a surprise that Lowe will begin this one on the bench. Christopher Morel and Jonny DeLuca will be the corner outfielders for the Rays for the series opener.

The outfielder has now hit safely in eight of his last 10 games with five two-hit efforts, two homers and two steals. On the season, he is hitting .247 with nine home runs, 30 RBI, 31 runs scored and 19 stolen bases across 296 plate appearances.

Lowe is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Astros, Steve Carney of StPeteNine.com reports. The Rays will go with a lineup consisting of all right-handed or switch-hitting batters while Lowe and fellow left-handed hitters Ben Rortvedt and Brandon Lowe retreat to the bench. Jonny DeLuca will occupy Josh Lowe's usual spot in right field.
