Civale did not factor into the decision in Tuesday's 7-4 loss to St. Louis, allowing three runs on six hits and no walks over five innings. He struck out seven. After going 3-1 with a 3.29 ERA in 27.1 August innings, the 27-year-old looked to be in trouble out the gate in this appearance, allowing two first-inning runs. However, Civale settled in and tossed two scoreless innings before being tagged by Paul Goldschmidt for a solo homer in the fourth. The right-hander wound up posting his fifth walk-less outing of the season, as he's now pitched to a 3.62 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 29:10 K:BB across 32.1 innings since joining Milwaukee on July 3. Civale is expected to make his next start against the Giants in San Francisco next week.
