The Rangers transferred Carter (wrist) to the 60-day injured list Friday. The move frees up a spot on the 40-man roster for Dylan Moore, whose contract was selected from Triple-A Round Rock by the Rangers following the placement of Corey Seager (abdomen) on the 10-day IL. The Rangers placed Carter (wrist) on the 10-day injured list Friday. Texas makes Carter's move official after manager Bruce Bochy revealed Friday morning that Carter could be out for the season with a fractured right wrist. The 22-year-old's spot on the active roster will go to Michael Helman. Wyatt Langford should see more action in center field while Carter is out, while Alejandro Osuna could see a bump in playing time in left.

Carter was removed from Thursday's game versus the Royals in the eighth inning after being hit in the right wrist by a pitch, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports. He was struck by a Daniel Lynch offering in the seventh inning. Carter remained in the game initially before eventually being lifted an inning later. The 22-year-old is likely to undergo X-rays, and an update on his condition should be forthcoming. He went 1-for-2 with a run scored and a stolen base before exiting.

The Rangers activated Carter (back) from the 10-day injured list Wednesday, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports. Carter played just one rehab game with Double-A Frisco and served as the designated hitter in that contest. He had been slated to play at least one more rehab game, but with Adolis Garcia (ankle) injured, the Rangers are bringing Carter back early. Carter has been sidelined for most of this month with back spasms.
