Stone (shoulder) was placed on the 60-day injured list by the Dodgers on Tuesday, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports. Stone was already expected to miss the entirety of the 2025 season after undergoing right shoulder surgery in October, so his move to the 60-day IL was an expected one. The transaction cleared a spot for Enrique Hernandez to join the 40-man roster after the Dodgers and Hernandez officially agreed on a one-year, $6.5 million contract Tuesday.

Stone underwent right shoulder surgery Wednesday and is likely to miss the entire 2025 season, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports. Stone was initially sidelined with right shoulder inflammation in early September and was unable to return. Stone (shoulder) was transferred to the 60-day injured list Tuesday, Matthew Moreno of DodgerBlue.com reports. Stone was already expected to miss the remainder of the 2024 regular season, and his move to the 60-day IL opens up a spot for Edgardo Henriquez on the 40-man roster. Stone is still working his way back from right shoulder inflammation, and he'll now be unavailable for the postseason.

Stone (shoulder) is expected to begin a throwing program this weekend, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports. Stone landed on the 15-day injured list Sept. 6 due to right shoulder inflammation. The Dodgers' rotation is short-handed with Clayton Kershaw (toe) and Tyler Glasnow (elbow) also on the IL, but Stone at least has taken a step in the right direction with the playoffs just around the corner. Stone has an 11-5 record across 25 starts this season with a 3.53 ERA and 1.21 WHIP across 140.1 innings.

The Dodgers placed Stone on the 15-day injured list Friday due to right shoulder inflammation. The Dodgers' rotation has taken another blow with Stone set to miss at least the next two weeks. The 25-year-old right-hander last pitched Saturday against the Diamondbacks, allowing five runs on five hits and one walk while striking out four across five innings in a no-decision. Stone felt discomfort after that start, and it's unclear whether he will return this season, per Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic. For the season, Stone is 11-5 over 25 starts with a 3.53 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 116:37 K:BB across 140.1 innings. Justin Wrobleski was recalled by the Dodgers from Triple-A Oklahoma City in a corresponding move, and he will likely start Saturday against the Guardians in Stone's place.
