The Rockies outrighted Curtiss to Triple-A Albuquerque on Aug. 9. Curtiss would have had the option of electing free agency after he cleared waivers, but he instead chose to stick around in the Colorado organization as relief depth at the Triple-A level. He's made two appearances for Albuquerque since clearing waivers, covering one inning while giving up one earned run on three hits.

Curtiss had been designated for assignment after allowing two runs and recording just one out in his lone appearance with the Rockies. While he's no longer on the 40-man roster, it appears he will remain in the organization at Albuquerque as relief depth.

Curtiss was just added to the team Friday and didn't make much of an impression in his Rockies debut, allowing two runs on three hits while recording just one out. The journeyman will make way for Josh Rogers, whose contract was selected from Triple-A Albuquerque.

Curtiss' contract was selected from Triple-A Albuquerque on Friday. Curtiss and Matt Carasiti will join the MLB roster to bolster the Rockies' bullpen. Curtiss logged a 4.58 ERA across 19.2 innings with the Mets last season and owns a 6.75 ERA in 21.1 innings this season for Albuquerque.

The Rockies reassigned Curtiss to minor-league camp Sunday, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports. Curtiss joined the Rockies on a minor-league deal in late January after his 2023 campaign with the Mets came to an early end in August, when he required an arthroscopic procedure to remove a loose body from his right elbow. Though he received a clean bill of health heading into spring training, Curtiss submitted a 9.82 ERA and 2.05 WHIP over 7.1 innings in Cactus League play to effectively remove himself from consideration for a spot in Colorado's Opening Day bullpen.
