Urias (ankle) is progressing and said Friday that he's confident he'll play again before the end of the season, Rich Dubroff of BaltimoreBaseball.com reports. He hasn't resumed baseball activities yet, but that could happen soon, per Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com. Urias sprained his right ankle Aug. 31. The Orioles have been using a mix of Coby Mayo, Emmanuel Rivera and Nick Maton at the hot corner in Urias' absence.

Orioles manager Brandon Hyde said Monday that Urias (ankle) is still using crutches and isn't sure when the infielder might return, Andy Kostka of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports. Urias suffered a right ankle sprain Saturday in Colorado and was placed on the 10-day injured list Sunday. The Orioles have not provided further details in regard to the severity, but it would appear to be something that could keep Urias shelved beyond 10 days. Coby Mayo and Emmanuel Rivera have each received a start at third base in Urias' stead.

The Orioles placed Urias on the 10-day injured list Sunday due to a right ankle sprain. The 30-year-old suffered the injury during Saturday's contest in Colorado and will be sidelined for at least the next week and a half. Coby Mayo, who is one of Baltimore's top prospects, was recalled from Triple-A Norfolk in a corresponding move Sunday and should see some run at third base while Urias is sidelined.

Urias was seen on crutches following Saturday's contest, and he will undergo further testing Sunday, per Danielle Allentuck of TheBaltimoreBanner.com. He sustained the injury in the eighth inning, when Ezequiel Tovar slid into third base and collided with Urias' right foot. It's likely Urias will be held out of Sunday's series finale, and depending on the results of his tests, he could also miss the Orioles' upcoming home series against the White Sox.

Urias was briefly checked by trainers before limping off the field, and he ends his night going 0-for-2 with one run scored. Emmanuel Rivera replaced Urias at third base following the injury.
