Gore did not factor into the decision in Saturday's 6-3 win over the Phillies, allowing three hits and one walk with nine strikeouts over six scoreless innings. Gore generated a ridiculous 24 whiffs on 91 pitches and departed with a 2-0 lead that his bullpen was unable to hold. The southpaw was fantastic in September, logging four quality starts and allowing just four total earned runs across five outings. He'll finish the season with a 3.90 ERA, 1.42 WHIP, 181:65 K:BB and 10 wins across 166.1 innings.

Gore (10-12) got the win Saturday against the Cubs, allowing one run on one hit and three walks while striking out nine over seven innings. Gore took a no-hitter into the seventh inning for the first time in his career, but he proceeded to allow a solo homer to Patrick Wisdom. Gore has put together a strong run of five quality starts in his last six outings, with a 1.82 ERA in that stretch, and he's reached double-digit wins for the first time in his career. The 25-year-old enters his final start of the season with a 4.04 ERA and 172 strikeouts in 160.1 innings.

Gore (9-12) picked up the win Sunday against Miami, allowing one unearned run on two hits and two walks across six innings. He struck out five. A fielding error by Jacob Young allowed Jhonny Pereda to reach base in the third inning, and Pereda eventually came in to score on a sacrifice fly by Jake Burger. The Nationals' subpar defense has hampered Gore's fantasy production, with 11 unearned runs being scored across the left-hander's last seven starts. In 153.1 innings, Gore has a 4.17 ERA and a 1.49 WHIP with a 163:61 K:BB. He's tentatively scheduled for a road start against the Cubs next weekend.

Gore (8-12) took the loss Tuesday, coughing up seven runs (two earned) on six hits and three walks over 3.2 innings as the Nationals were routed 12-0 by Atlanta. He struck out three. Some shaky defense by the Nats, including an error by Jose Tena and a catcher's interference call on Keibert Ruiz, helped soften the blow to Gore's ERA, but it was still a hard fall back to Earth for the southpaw after he'd delivered three straight quality starts. Since the beginning of August, Gore has a 1.57 WHIP and 36:15 K:BB through 36.1 innings while serving up five homers, but only a 3.72 ERA thanks to 11 total unearned runs. He lines up to pitch at home this weekend against the Marlins.

Gore came away with a no-decision in Wednesday's 4-3 extra-inning loss to the Marlins, allowing one run on one hit and one walk over six innings. He struck out nine. The southpaw retired the first 16 batters he faced, but a walk followed by a Nick Fortes RBI double ended any shot at history Gore might have had. The quality start was his eighth of the season, tying the career high he set in 2023, and he seems to have turned things around after a rough patch coming out of the All-Star break -- over his last three outings, all quality starts, Gore has a 2.00 ERA, 0.89 WHIP and 19:2 K:BB in 18 innings. He'll look to keep rolling in his next trip to the mound, which lines up to come at home early next week against Atlanta.
