Julien is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Phillies. He'll remain on the bench for the second day in a row while the Phillies send another lefty (Cristopher Sanchez) to the hill. If he's not needed off the bench Sunday, Julien will wrap up the season with a .220/.309/.324 slash line, three home runs, 13 runs and 12 RBI over 208 plate appearances.

Julien is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Padres. The Twins have now left Julien out of the lineup for three consecutive contests, which follows a stretch of four straight starts in which he went 2-for-13 with a double and three walks. Julien has produced a poor .545 OPS since getting called up from Triple-A St. Paul on Aug. 1 and may play second fiddle to Kody Clemens at first base in September.

Julien will start at first base and bat fifth in Tuesday's game versus the Blue Jays. He'll pick up his third straight start at first base and will man the position for the fourth time in five contests. The 26-year-old is slashing just .186/.222/.279 this month, but the Twins might want to give Julien a long look at first base while Kody Clemens settles into more of a utility role.

Julien went 2-for-3 with a solo home run in Thursday's 4-3 extra-innings loss to the Tigers. Julien has gone just 5-for-25 (.200) with a 2:8 BB:K over 10 games since rejoining the big-league roster following the trade deadline. This was his first multi-hit effort in that span, which has seen him fill a part-time role. He's seeing most of his time at first base but is sharing the position with Kody Clemens and Mickey Gasper. Julien will need to show more consistency to claim a larger share of playing time. On the year, he has a poor .198/.282/.328 slash line with three homers, nine RBI, nine runs scored and no stolen bases over 131 plate appearances.

Julien will start at first base and bat eighth in Wednesday's game against the Tigers. The left-handed-hitting Julien had been slated to sit for the second day in a row against a right-handed starter (Jack Flaherty), but Julien will end up moving back into the starting nine after Trevor Larnach (shoulder) was scratched. Kody Clemens will head to the outfield to fill in for Larnach while Julien covers Clemens' usual post at first base.
