  • Peralta (5-9) took the loss against Milwaukee on Monday, allowing seven runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out six batters over 5.1 innings. Peralta fell behind quickly, giving up two runs on two hits and a walk in the first inning. He gave up three more runs across his next two frames and then watched from the dugout as two additional runs were charged to him following his departure in the sixth. The veteran righty did manage to complete five innings for the first time in his past four starts, but that's small consolation given that the seven earned runs were the second-most he's given up in an outing this season. It's been a rough first campaign in New York for Peralta, as his 5.01 ERA is fourth-worst among qualified big-league hurlers.

  • Peralta (5-8) took the loss Saturday against the Red Sox, allowing two runs on three hits and five walks in 4.1 innings. He struck out six. It was another laborious outing by Peralta, who has now failed to complete five frames in all three of his July starts thus far. The 30-year-old right-hander has battled his control all year long, as he has issued at least one walk in all of his 19 starts since Opening Day versus Pittsburgh, However, he was at least able to strike out Tsung-Che Cheng to escape a bases-loaded jam in the second inning Saturday to limit the damage. Peralta has been a big disappointment during his first year with the Mets, holding a 4.66 ERA, 1.44 WHIP and 104:44 K:BB over 104.1 frames.

  • Peralta did not factor into the decision Monday, allowing three runs (one earned) on six hits and a walk over 4.2 innings in a 7-6 extra-inning win against Atlanta. He struck out six. The right-hander allowed two unearned runs in the second inning before surrendering a solo shot to Matt Olson in the third frame. After throwing 103 pitches (61 strikes), Peralta was lifted following 4.2 innings, marking the first time he failed to complete five innings in consecutive starts this year after logging four frames in his previous outing. It has been a disappointing first season with the Mets for the 30-year-old, who owns a 5-7 record with a 4.68 ERA, 1.42 WHIP and 98:39 K:BB across 100 innings (19 starts). Peralta's final start before the All-Star break is tentatively scheduled for Saturday against the Red Sox.

  • Peralta (5-6) took the loss against the Phillies on Saturday, allowing 10 runs on 10 hits and one walk with two strikeouts over 2.2 innings. Peralta was down 3-0 when he began a nightmare third frame in which he was charged with seven more runs. The 30-year-old yielded a career-high 10 earned runs overall in his shortest outing of the campaign, with his ERA rising from 3.90 to 4.83 for the season. He's now been charged with four earned runs or more in four of his past six starts. Peralta will take that inflated ERA, a 1.39 WHIP and 83:34 K:BB across 85.2 innings into a home matchup against the Cubs next week.

  • Peralta (4-5) took the loss Tuesday against St. Louis, surrendering six runs on six hits and two walks while striking out five across six innings. A disastrous third inning did Peralta in as five batters reached base, leading to a four-run frame that put St. Louis firmly in control. The right-hander compounded the damage in the fifth when Alec Burleson launched a two-run homer to extend the lead. The six runs allowed were a season high, but Peralta continued his streak of having surpassed 90 pitches in each of his last 13 starts. He now owns a 4.04 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 79:32 K:BB across 78 innings. Peralta is scheduled to make his next start at home against Atlanta.
