Misiorowski was set for bulk-relief duties, though he entered the game with only one out in the first inning after Aaron Ashby faltered. Misiorowski picked the Brewers up, holding the Dodgers in check until his final inning of work, when he surrendered a walk and two singles to allow the game-winning runs to score. He was otherwise dominant, racking up 14 swinging strikes on 73 pitches while also generating four groundball outs. Misiorowski has had an impressive postseason, allowing just two earned runs across 12 innings while maintaining a 16:3 K:BB.

  Misiorowski is expected to follow opener Aaron Ashby as a bulk reliever in Thursday's NLCS Game 3 against the Dodgers, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports. Misiorowski has yet to pitch in the NLCS after tossing seven innings of one-run ball with a 7:2 K:BB across two NLDS appearances versus the Cubs. He will be on four days' rest after throwing 54 pitches over four frames in NLDS Game 5, so the hard-throwing right-hander should be prepared to provide plenty of length.

  Misiorowski could be key to the Brewers' pitching plans in Game 5, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports. The Brewers have yet to announce a starter for Saturday's winner-take-all contest against the Cubs, but they are likely to go with a de facto bullpen game. Misiorowski earned the win in a bullpen game in Game 2 for Milwaukee, striking out four over three scoreless innings. He was the third of seven pitchers the Brewers used in that contest, and while Misiorowski might not start Saturday, he's a good bet to be heavily featured. The only pitcher likely to be unavailable for the Brewers in Game 5 is Freddy Peralta, who threw 84 pitches in Thursday's Game 4 loss.

  Misiorowski is expected to be used in a relief role by the Brewers in the NLDS, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports. After a brilliant start to his major-league career, Misiorowski stumbled to the finish line, posting a 6.06 ERA, 1.53 WHIP and 40:17 K:BB over his final 32.2 innings. That includes his lone appearance out of the bullpen in his final outing of the regular season, during which he was charged with two runs (one earned) with a 3:3 K:BB over 2.1 frames. The Brewers aren't sure which version of Misiorowski they're going to get, but his upside warrants a spot on the NLDS roster. Misiorowski could offer Milwaukee some length in the middle of games or be used as a late-inning weapon in a spot where a strikeout is needed.

  Misiorowski did not factor into the decision in Saturday's 7-4 loss to the Reds, allowing two runs (one earned) on three hits and three walks with three strikeouts over 2.1 innings. Misiorowski was called on with the bases loaded in the third inning and saw all three inherited runners come around before surrendering two runs of his own. After earning an All-Star nod just five starts into his career, the 23-year-old struggled down the stretch, posting a 5.36 ERA across 40.1 second-half innings. He'll close out his rookie campaign with a 4.36 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 87:31 K:BB over 66 major-league innings and is expected to stick in a bullpen role for the Brewers this postseason.
