Cannon (5-10) earned the win Sunday, allowing four runs on four hits and three walks over five innings against the Tigers. He struck out three. Cannon was staked with a rare 5-0 lead and carried it into the fifth inning. but three walks led to a grand slam by Kerry Carpenter that spoiled the righty's final line. Despite the disappointing end to his outing, the 24-year-old finished his first big-league campaign having made 21 starts among 23 appearances while posting a 4.49 ERA and 1.33 WHIP with 91 strikeouts across 124.1 innings.

Cannon came away with a no-decision in Tuesday's 3-2 win over the Angels, allowing three hits and a walk over six scoreless innings. He struck out seven. The rookie right-hander traded goose eggs with Jack Kochanowicz for six frames before Cannon left the game after 78 pitches (49 strikes). The seven strikeouts tied his career high, a mark he's reached three times in 2024 including his two most recent outings, and in four September starts he's posted an impressive 3.04 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 22:5 K:BB over 23.2 innings. Cannon is scheduled to make one more start this season, on the road Sunday in Detroit.

Cannon (4-10) allowed four runs on three hits and two walks while striking out seven over 6.2 innings to earn the win over the Angels on Monday. Cannon gave up solo home runs to Eric Wagaman and Charles Leblanc, and the Angels scraped together two more runs in the seventh to chase Cannon from the game. While the rookie right-hander has allowed at least three runs in six of his last eight starts, he's picked up three wins in that span as one of the White Sox's more effective starters. He's at a 4.61 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and 81:36 K:BB through 113.1 innings over 21 appearances (19 starts) this season. He's projected to make his next start at San Diego.

Cannon (3-10) took the loss Tuesday, allowing three runs on seven hits and one walk over 5.1 innings against Cleveland. He struck out four. Cannon picked up his fifth loss out of his last six starts with this 91-pitch appearance. The 24-year-old rookie fared well through the first five innings, scattering six hits that produced one run, before unraveling in the sixth. He left two runners on via a walk and single that were promptly driven home when reliever Gus Varland yielded a homer to his first batter faced, Lane Thomas. Cannon has now failed to reach five strikeouts in six consecutive starts, during which he's struggled to a 6.16 ERA, 1.70 WHIP and 23:14 K:BB across 30.2 innings. He is projected to make his next outing against the Angels in Los Angeles next week.

Cannon (3-9) earned the win Wednesday over the Orioles, allowing one run on five hits and a walk over 5.2 innings. He struck out four. Cannon's night got off to a rocky start after he allowed a homer to Gunnar Henderson to lead off the bottom of the first inning. However, the right-hander would keep Baltimore off the board for the remainder of his outing, allowing just four more hits en route to his first win since Aug. 6. The 24-year-old Cannon had struggled to a 7.78 ERA in four starts (19.2 innings) coming into Wednesday. His ERA now sits at 4.53 with a 1.39 WHIP and 70:33 K:BB across 101.1 innings in his rookie campaign. Cannon's currently lined up for a home matchup with the Guardians in his next outing.
