Beck is being pushed for a roster spot by Nick Martini, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports. Beck was a projected regular between right field and DH entering spring training. However, he's hitting just .212 with 13 strikeouts across 33 at-bats in Cactus League action. That could be enough to convince the team that Beck needs more seasoning in the minors, though Harding still projects that the young outfielder will make the team with a starting role to begin the regular season.

Beck went 3-for-4 with a home run, four RBI, two total runs scored and a stolen base in Monday's Cactus League game against the Angeles. Beck entered spring training as the favorite to start in right field for the Rockies, though he struggled out of the gate by collecting only one hit in his first 14 at-bats. However, he's gone 5-for-7 across his last two exhibitions while showcasing some pop and the ability to steal bases.

Beck is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Dodgers. The right-handed-hitting Beck will hit the bench for a second straight game, with both absences from the lineup coming against right-handed pitchers. With a lowly .458 OPS thus far in September, Beck may have lost hold of an everyday role and fallen into the short side of a platoon with Jake Cave.

Beck isn't in Colorado's lineup Saturday against the Dodgers. Beck struck out twice and was hit by a pitch during Friday's loss, and he'll take a day to regroup Saturday while Jake Cave takes over as Colorado's right fielder.

Beck went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Thursday's 4-2 win over the Tigers. Beck opened the scoring in the third inning with a 417-foot blast of Tarik Skubal, putting the Rockies ahead 1-0. It's the third homer of the year for the outfielder, and his first in 22 games since returning from a three-month stay on the injured list. Beck had been scuffling at the plate since the start of September, going just 1-for-17 with a 50 percent strikeout rate in six games prior to Thursday. Overall, he's slashing .201/.256/.299 with 13 runs scored, 12 RBI and six stolen bases across 156 plate appearances with Colorado this season.
