  Martin didn't factor into the decision Thursday against the Yankees, surrendering three runs on six hits and two walks while striking out five over 4.1 innings. Martin labored through the opening frame, needing 26 pitches to complete the inning, with a run coming across before he was able to escape. The right-hander later gave up back-to-back singles in the fifth inning before being lifted, and both runners eventually came around to score. It was just the third time all season that Martin failed to complete five innings in 25 starts. The 28-year-old will finish the regular season with a 4.10 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 104:48 K:BB across 142.2 innings.

  Martin (7-10) allowed three runs on six hits and one walk over six innings to earn the win Friday against San Diego. He struck out four. The Chicago right-hander made quick work of the Padres to tally his ninth quality start, completing his six frames on 77 pitches. Davis contained his opponent by generating a 55.0 percent groundball rate, with the three runs allowed scoring on two singles and a groundout. Across 138.1 total innings this season, the 28-year-old now sports a 4.03 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 99:46 K:BB while producing a 44.7 percent groundball rate. Martin currently lines up for a difficult test in his final start of 2025, which projects to come on the road against the Yankees.

  Martin (6-10) took the loss against the Guardians on Saturday, allowing two runs on five hits and one walk while striking out three across five innings. Martin kept the Guardians batters in check for most of his outing outside of a C.J. Kayfus two-run homer in the second, but the White Sox batters weren't able to generate enough runs for the 28-year-old right-hander to avoid the loss. Martin has yielded three earned runs or less in nine of 10 starts since the All-Star break, and over that span he has a 4.35 ERA and 1.35 WHIP in 51.2 innings. He's tentatively lined up to face the Padres on the road next weekend.

The Chicago right-hander overcame a sloppy first inning that saw the Tigers plate three runs (two unearned) in this 97-pitch performance. Since rejoining the rotation July 22 from a forearm injury, Martin has pitched to a 4.44 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 39:25 K:BB across 46.2 frames. Through 127.1 total innings, the 28-year-old has produced a 4.03 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 92:44 K:BB while giving up 19 homers. Martin projects to make his next start at Cleveland next weekend.

Martin nabbed his second quality start in his last eight appearances and picked up a win in his third straight decision. He didn't allow a home run Tuesday after yielding four long balls across his prior two outings. In his last eight starts, Martin has a 4.57 ERA and 36:22 K:BB across 41.1 innings. He's tentatively scheduled to face the Tigers on Sunday.
