  • Yesavage (4-5) took the loss Sunday against the White Sox, allowing three runs on five hits and two walks in six innings. He struck out nine. Yesavage overpowered the Chicago bats at times, generating a whopping 21 whiffs on the afternoon, and he hung on for a quality start after the White Sox plated a pair of runs in the sixth inning. The nine punchouts were a season high for the right-hander, who has now logged three quality starts in his past four outings. Yesavage has been wild occasionally, walking at least five in four of his last nine appearances, but he's still maintained a healthy 3.78 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 78:41 K:BB over 81 innings this year.

  • Yesavage (4-4) took the loss Sunday, allowing three runs (two earned) on three hits and two walks over six innings against Seattle. He struck out seven. Yesavage churned out a quality start, though a no-show from the Toronto offense saddled him with the loss. After not allowing a homer in any of his first seven starts this season, the right-hander has surrendered seven long balls across his past six starts, including a two-run shot to Mitch Garver in the fourth inning Sunday. Yesavage will take a 3.31 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 68:32 K:BB across 73.1 innings (13 starts) into his final outing before the All-Star break, tentatively scheduled for Saturday in San Diego.

Despite a solid result, the 22-year-old has now issued five or more walks in three of his past five outings. He'll take a 3.56 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 58:30 K:BB across 60.2 innings this season into a home matchup against the Mets next week.

  • Blue Jays' Trey Yesavage: Stumbles late
    By RotoWire

Yesavage didn't factor into the decision Thursday against the Red Sox, allowing three runs on four hits and no walks over 7.1 innings. He struck out six. Yesavage was stellar through much of the contest, as he held Boston to just one hit through six scoreless innings. However, the right-hander allowed a run in the seventh before the Red Sox tied the game with back-to-back home runs to open the eighth. Despite the tough finish, it was a positive outing overall for the 22-year-old, who had given up 11 runs in 10.2 innings while issuing eight walks in his previous two starts. Overall, he has a 3-3 record with a 3.76 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 53:25 K:BB across 10 starts (55 innings) this season. Yesavage is currently slated to face the Astros at home his next time out.

  • Yesavage didn't factor into the decision Saturday, allowing one run on two hits and seven walks over five innings as the Blue Jays were downed 6-5 by the Orioles. He struck out four. The seven free passes shattered Yesavage's previous career high of three in a start, but the 22-year-old right-hander limited the damage to a third-inning RBI single by Gunnar Henderson and left the mound in line for his third win of the season. Jeff Hoffman and the Toronto bullpen had other plans, however, and fell apart in the ninth inning. Yesavage will take a 2.19 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 39:17 K:BB through 37 innings into his next outing, which is scheduled to come on the road next week in Atlanta.
