  Kremer (11-10) yielded one hit over 6.1 scoreless innings Tuesday, striking out four and earning a win over the Rays. Kremer retired the first nine batters he faced before giving up a single to Chandler Simpson in the fourth inning. Kremer faced no trouble from Tampa Bay's lineup as he picked up his first quality start since Aug. 17 and his second straight win. He was tagged with a combined 13 earned runs in his final two starts of August but has since given up just two runs in his last 15 frames, lowering his season ERA from 4.52 to 4.23 in the process. Kremer is expected to end his season with a 140:44 K:BB through 168 innings.

• Orioles' Dean Kremer: Secures 10th win

  Kremer (10-10) allowed two runs on four hits and three walks over 5.2 innings Tuesday, striking out four and earning a win against the White Sox. It wasn't Kremer's sharpest outing, but he got the job done after allowing a two-run shot to Kyle Teel in the first inning. Despite striking out only four batters, Kremer racked up 16 whiffs on 97 total pitches, including eight with his splitter. However, it was the first time he issued more than two walks since July 19. Kremer is now sporting a 4.39 ERA with a 136:44 K:BB through 164 innings. He's lined up for a home start against the Rays next week.

• Orioles' Dean Kremer: Cleared to start Tuesday

  Kremer (forearm) is slated to start Tuesday's game against the White Sox in Chicago, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports. Though he didn't require a stint on the injured list after departing his Sept. 5 start against the Dodgers due to forearm discomfort, Kremer had one turn in the rotation skipped and ended up missing a week and a half of action due to the injury. Fortunately, Kremer seems to have checked out fine following a bullpen session Friday, leaving the Orioles optimistic that he'll be ready to handle something close to a normal workload Tuesday. Prior to sustaining the injury, Kremer had posted a 4.86 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 44:14 K:BB in 50 innings over his nine starts since the All-Star break.

• Orioles' Dean Kremer: Ready for bullpen session Friday

  Kremer (forearm) will throw an extensive bullpen session Friday and could rejoin the Baltimore rotation next week, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports. Kremer was removed from last Friday's 2-1 win over the Dodgers due to right forearm soreness and had his next turn in the rotation skipped. However, he has recovered well since then and is on track to return next week if he can avoid a setback following Friday's throwing session. The Orioles haven't revealed the target date for Kremer's next start, but he appears to be lined up to take the hill Sept. 18 at home versus the Yankees.

• Orioles' Dean Kremer: Will play catch again Tuesday

  Orioles interim manager Tony Mansolino said that Kremer (forearm) played catch Sunday and will do so again Tuesday, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports. Kremer was removed from his start in Friday's 2-1 win over the Dodgers after three innings due to right forearm soreness. An MRI came back clean, and while he will miss his next turn in the rotation, the hope remains that Kremer could avoid a stint on the 15-day injured list.
