  • Paredes agreed to a minor-league contract with Atlanta on Monday, which includes an invitation to spring training, Ari Alexander of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Paredes returned to the big leagues in 2024 after spending the entire 2023 campaign at Triple-A. He made stops with the Cubs and Brewers, posting a 1.66 ERA and 1.06 WHIP with a 16:10 K:BB over 18 regular-season relief appearances (21.2 innings). Paredes will get the opportunity to make the Opening Day roster with his new club, who is looking for bullpen help following the news that Joe Jimenez is out for the next 8-to-12 months while recovering from knee surgery.

  • Enoli Paredes: Elects free agency
    By RotoWire

Paredes elected free agency Monday, Maddie Lee of the Chicago Sun-Times reports. Paredes made just one appearance with the Cubs in September after being claimed off waivers and is now a free agent after declining an outright assignment. The righty reliever posted a 1.66 ERA but an underwhelming 16:10 K:BB across 21.2 innings at the major-league level in 2024.

  • The Brewers designated Paredes for assignment Friday. Paredes has posted a 1.74 ERA this season out of the Brewers' bullpen, but that's come with a 14:10 K:BB over 20.2 innings. The 28-year-old could draw some interest via trade or waivers.

  • Paredes (forearm) was reinstated from the injured list Thursday. Paredes has been sidelined since July 2 with a forearm issue. Prior to the injury, he was excellent out of the Brewers bullpen, maintaining a 1.08 ERA and 1.02 WHIP across 16.2 innings, albeit with a more mediocre 12:8 K:BB. Paredes will likely pitch low-leverage roles initially, though he may have the chance to pick up some holds as he gets back into form.

  • Brewers' Enoli Paredes: Shifts to 60-day IL
    By RotoWire

The Brewers transferred Paredes (forearm) from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Sunday. The transaction clears room on the 40-man roster for southpaw DL Hall (knee), who was activated from the 60-day injured list ahead of his scheduled start Sunday versus the Reds. Paredes was initially placed on the IL on July 3 due to right forearm tendinitis and won't be eligible to rejoin the Milwaukee bullpen until early September.
