Jose Abreu 1B | HOU
Astros' Jose Abreu: Homers in second straight game
Abreu went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run and an additional RBI in Saturday's 6-4 victory versus Cleveland.
That's now two straight games with a homer for Abreu, who went deep just once over his first 61 contests this season. The veteran has also tallied three consecutive multi-hit performances, so there's reason to believe that he may be turning around what has been a mediocre season thus far. Abreu is still slashing just .223/.279/.293 overall, so he has a long way to go to avoid finishing with the worst campaign of his career.

Anthony Rizzo 1B | NYY
Yankees' Anthony Rizzo: Day off Saturday
Rizzo will sit Saturday against the Red Sox.
Rizzo missed the last three games of May while dealing with a neck issue. He's since returned to start the first seven games of June but went 1-for-27 at the plate, a slump which could indicate that he's not yet back to full health. DJ LeMahieu starts at first base Saturday.

Vinnie Pasquantino 1B | KC
Royals' Vinnie Pasquantino: Placed on injured list
Pasquantino landed on the injured list Saturday with what the Royals described as right shoulder instability.
Pasquantino left Friday's game against Baltimore with what was originally called right shoulder discomfort. His updated diagnosis remains somewhat vague, but he'll undergo an MRI on Monday, per Jaylon T. Thompson of The Kansas City Star, at which point a clearer timeline for his return may emerge. Nick Pratto will likely spend more time at first base until Pasquantino returns, which would open up at-bats in left field for Edward Olivares, who was activated off the restricted list to take Pasquantino's spot on the roster.

Ryan Mountcastle 1B | BAL
Orioles' Ryan Mountcastle: Remains out
Mountcastle (illness) remains sidelined Saturday against the Royals, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.
An illness kept Mountcastle out of the lineup Friday and will cost him at least one more start. Per Steve Melewski of MASNSports.com, however, Mountcastle at least has a chance to be available off the bench. Ryan O'Hearn will cover for him at first base Saturday.

Ty France 1B | SD
Mariners' Ty France: Multi-hit effort in loss
France went 2-for-5 with an RBI single in a loss to the Angels on Friday.
France mustered the only multi-hit effort of the night for the Mariners, accounting for half of the team's haul in that category. The 28-year-old's hitting streak was extended to five games in the process, and he's sporting a stellar .311 average and .980 OPS across his last 11 games, a stretch during which he's authored four multi-hit tallies overall but has also struck out at an elevated-by-his-standards 22.0 percent clip.

Jose Abreu 1B | HOU
Astros' Jose Abreu: Socks second homer
Abreu went 2-for-7 with a three-run home run in Friday's 10-9 extra-innings loss to the Guardians.
The veteran first baseman took Logan Allen deep in the first inning to give the Astros an early lead that the bullpen squandered. It's only Abreu's second homer of the year, but they've both come in the last 12 games. It's a sliver of hope in what has been a disastrous first campaign with Houston, but his .244/.308/.400 slash line over that 12-game stretch only looks good in comparison to his .219/.277/.278 line on the season.

Vinnie Pasquantino 1B | KC
Royals' Vinnie Pasquantino: Exits with right shoulder injury
Pasquantino left Friday's game against the Orioles with right shoulder discomfort, Jaylon T. Thompson of The Kansas City Star reports. He went 0-for-3 before exiting.
Pasquantino was replaced by Matt Duffy at first base. It's likely Pasquantino will likely undergo further testing on the shoulder to determine the severity of the injury, but at this point the 25-year-old should be considered day-to-day.

Ryan Mountcastle 1B | BAL
Orioles' Ryan Mountcastle: Under the weather
Mountcastle is not in Friday's lineup due to an undisclosed illness, Jacob Calvin Meyer of The Baltimore Sun reports.
He should be ready to return sometime over the weekend. With Mountcastle on the bench, Anthony Santander is starting at first base Friday, with Ryan McKenna handling right field.

Ryan Mountcastle 1B | BAL
Orioles' Ryan Mountcastle: Battling illness
Mountcastle is out of the Orioles' lineup Friday due to an illness, Steve Melewski of MASNSports.com reports.
Mountcastle tried to play through his illness Thursday against Milwaukee -- he went 0-for-4 with three strikeouts -- but will get Friday off as he recovers. Fantasy managers should consider Mountcastle day-to-day going forward.

Ryan O'Hearn 1B | PIT
Orioles' Ryan O'Hearn: Out against lefty
O'Hearn isn't in the Orioles' lineup Friday versus Kansas City, Cordell Woodland of 105.7 The Fan Baltimore reports.
The left-handed slugger will sit Friday as the Royals prepare to send southpaw Daniel Lynch to the mound. O'Hearn is batting .250 (7-for-28) over his last eight games with five extra-base hits but a 1:10 BB:K.
