Naylor went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run during Friday's 9-8 victory over the Athletics.

Naylor singled in the first inning and smashed a two-run shot off Oakland reliever Domingo Acevedo in the seventh to give Cleveland the lead for good. The 24-year-old has been hot since making his season debut April 15, slashing .317/.333/.512 in 41 at-bats.

Rizzo went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run in Friday's 12-2 win over the Royals.

The veteran first baseman crushed a Kris Bubic fastball to center field in the first inning, setting the tone for the night. Rizzo has hit safely in nine straight games, slashing .359/.375/.897 over that stretch with six of his nine homers on the season and 13 of his 21 RBI.

Guerrero went 1-for-5 with a three-run homer in Friday's 11-7 loss to Houston.

Guerrero had a day off Thursday with a minor foot issue but he looked plenty healthy Friday, launching a three-run shot off Jose Urquidy in the third inning. The 23-year-old slugger is slashing .301/.369/.575 with six homers and 16 RBI through 84 plate appearances. He was 10-for-38 (.263) without a home run in his previous 11 contests.

Mountcastle went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 3-1 loss to Boston.

Mountcastle spoiled Boston's shutout bid with a leadoff home run in the ninth inning off Hansel Robles. It was his second long ball of the year and first since April 9. The 25-year-old is sporting a disappointing .618 OPS with three extra-base hits through 76 plate appearances.

Vaughn, who was hit on his right hand by a pitch in the ninth inning, will get X-rays, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Vaughn, who went 0-for-3 with a strikeout in addition to the HBP, remained in the game, but it is apparently causing enough discomfort that tests are needed. He should be considered day-to-day for now.

Casas was not considered for a promotion when the Red Sox opted to call up Franchy Cordero, according to manager Alex Cora, Chris Cotillo of The Springfield Republican reports.

While Casas is Boston's top prospect, it would have been a bit surprising if they'd called him up while he was hitting .225/.364/.437 through 20 games at Triple-A. Casas could certainly force the issue later this summer, particularly if Bobby Dalbec continues to struggle.

Dalbec isn't starting Friday's game against the Orioles, Chris Cotillo of The Springfield Republican reports.

Dalbec will have a chance to reset after going 0-for-9 with an RBI, a walk and five strikeouts over his last three appearances. Franchy Cordero will start at first base and bat sixth after his contract was selected by the Red Sox on Friday.

Mountcastle (neck) will start at first base Friday against the Red Sox, Nathan Ruiz of The Baltimore Sun reports.

The Orioles have yet to release their full lineup for Friday, but Mountcastle will be included after sitting out the past two games with neck stiffness. The 25-year-old has endured some offensive struggles early in 2022 and has a .232/.264/.290 slash line with one home run, seven RBI, six runs and a stolen base in 72 plate appearances.

Vaughn is starting in left field and batting second Friday against the Angels, James Fegan of The Athletic reports.

Although Luis Robert is back in the lineup Friday, manager Tony La Russa said Vaughn has earned the right to stay in the No. 2 spot for now after he hit .286 with two homers, two doubles, six RBI and two runs over the last six games. As long as Vaughn remains effective, he's the favorite to stick in the second spot in the lineup.

Guerrero (foot) is starting at first base and batting third Friday against the Astros.

The 23-year-old sat out Thursday's series opener after fouling a pitch off his right foot Wednesday against the Red Sox, but his absence will be limited to just one game, as expected. Guerrero initially played through the injury and had X-rays come back negative, so there shouldn't be any lingering concern now that he's retaking the field.
