Ryan Mountcastle 1B | BAL
Orioles' Ryan Mountcastle: Plates pair in loss
Mountcastle went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI in Sunday's 4-3 loss to Boston.
Mountcastle opened the scoring with an RBI single to plate Trey Mancini in the first inning. In the eighth, Mountcastle added an RBI double to bring home Austin Hays. The 24-year-old Mountcastle has multiple hits in four of his last nine games, with a batting average of .324 in that span. For the season, he's up to two home runs, 11 RBI, 11 runs scored and three stolen bases in a near-everyday role. He's striking out a 31.3 percent rate, which has taken some shine out of his play so far.

Jose Abreu 1B | HOU
White Sox's Jose Abreu: Drives in three runs
Abreu went 2-for-4 with a double, three RBI and a run scored in Sunday's 9-3 with over the Royals.
Abreu tacked on some insurance runs late in Sunday's win. He knocked a two-run single in the seventh inning followed by an RBI double in the ninth. The reigning AL MVP improved his season slash line to .220/.317/.415 with 26 RBI in 32 games.

Ty France 1B | SD
Mariners' Ty France: Heads to bench
France is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rangers.
Mitch Haniger will take over as Seattle's designated hitter in place of France, who is mired in his worst slump of the season. Over his last 11 games, France has gone 2-for-40, sinking his season average from .325 to .236 during that stretch.

Ryan O'Hearn 1B | PIT
Royals' Ryan O'Hearn: Loses work to Hanser Alberto
O'Hearn is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the White Sox.
On the bench for a third straight game, O'Hearn looks to have lost hold of a strong-side platoon role for Kansas City. Hanser Alberto will make his third start in as many days in place of O'Hearn, who is hitting .219 with a pair of solo home runs since his April 23 call-up.

Luke Voit 1B | NYM
Yankees' Luke Voit: Tracking toward Tuesday return
Manager Aaron Boone said he's hopeful that Voit (knee) will be activated from the 10-day injured list during the Yankees' upcoming three-game series with the Rays that begins Tuesday, Marly Rivera of ESPN.com reports.
Voit, who has gone 5-for-13 with a pair of home runs and walks in his first four rehab contests at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, is slated to serve as the affiliate's designated hitter Sunday in what is expected to be his final minor-league game. Assuming Voit comes out of the game with no renewed discomfort in his surgically repaired left knee, he'll likely make his 2021 debut for the Yankees at first base in Tuesday's series opener in Tampa Bay. Voit's return will likely result in fewer opportunities for Mike Ford and Rougned Odor (knee), who had been his primary replacements in the lineup this season.

Bobby Dalbec 1B | CHW
Red Sox's Bobby Dalbec: Drives in two in win
Dalbec went 1-for-5 with two RBI in Saturday's 11-6 win over Baltimore.
Dalbec has terrorized the Orioles with five RBI over the first two games of the series. He appeared to have broken out of a season-opening slump when Dalbec elevated his average to .269 on April 23, but an 0-for-27 (12 strikeouts) skid put him back below the Mendoza Line. The Red Sox are hoping his two-game run against the Orioles unlocks the impact bat he showed in 2020.

Josh Naylor 1B | SEA
Indians' Josh Naylor: On base four times Saturday
Naylor went 2-for-3 with two walks and two runs scored in Saturday's 9-2 win over the Reds.
The 23-year-old continues to string together hits, going 13-for-40 (.325) over his last 11 games with two homers, six RBI and eight runs, but the walks were a pleasant surprise as Naylor had drawn only four in 28 games on the season coming into Saturday. The hot streak has pushed his slash line up to .265/.312/.412 as he looks to give the Cleveland outfield a consistent threat it's been lacking in recent years.
-
Carlos Santana 1B | ARI
Royals' Carlos Santana: Gets aboard four times
Santana went 2-for-2 with a pair of singles and a pair of walks in Saturday's 9-1 loss to the White Sox.
Santana has seven games this season in which he's gotten on base at least three times. The 35-year-old first baseman's strong day at the dish didn't directly lead to any run production in the blowout loss. Santana has a .263/.380/.456 slash line with six home runs, 21 RBI, 17 runs scored and a stolen base in 137 plate appearances.

Evan White 1B | LAA
Mariners' Evan White: Breaks out of slump
White went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and an RBI double in Saturday's loss to the Rangers.
White hit a two-run home run in the second inning and knocked in Dylan Moore in the fourth inning. It was the second homer for the struggling White and he is now slashing .151/.207/.256 in 2021.

Ryan O'Hearn 1B | PIT
Royals' Ryan O'Hearn: Remains on bench
O'Hearn isn't starting Saturday's game against the White Sox.
O'Hearn will be out of the lineup for a second straight game after he went hitless with a walk and four strikeouts in his last four at-bats. Salvador Perez will serve as the designated hitter while Sebastian Rivero starts behind the plate.
