Matt Olson 1B | ATL
Athletics' Matt Olson: Sitting versus lefty
Olson is not in the lineup Monday against the Orioles, Jane Lee of MLB.com reports.
Olson will take a seat Monday as the A's are set to take on a southpaw in Wade Miley. With Olson out, Ryon Healy will start at first base and hit fifth.

Kole Calhoun 1B | CLE
Angels' Kole Calhoun: Bat heating up
Calhoun went 1-for-2 with a solo home run and three walks in Sunday's win over the Orioles.
The homer was Calhoun's third over his last four contests, and he now boasts a .327/.429/.538 triple-slash through 16 games in August. Although the 29-year-old hasn't been as consistent as expected this season, this hot streak has him back on the fantasy radar in most formats.

Yuli Gurriel DH | SD
Astros' Yulieski Gurriel: Gets breather Sunday
Gurriel is not in the lineup Sunday against the A's.
Despite riding a modest seven-game hit streak, Gurriel will head to the bench for a day off after starting 17 of the last 18 games. Marwin Gonzalez will take over for him at first base for the contest. He should continue to get a day off every couple weeks or so in an attempt to keep him fresh for the stretch run.

Jose Abreu 1B | HOU
White Sox's Jose Abreu: In groove over eight-game streak
Abreu went 4-for-5 with a solo home run and three runs scored in Saturday's 17-7 loss to the Rangers.
Abreu has an eight-game hitting streak, and it isn't a cheap streak. He's posted multiple hits in six of those games with seven of his 17 hits going for extra bases. The supporting cast around him will make it difficult for Abreu to reach 100 RBI for a fourth straight season, but he has some control over his home run total. Abreu has homered once every five games this season and needs just six homers over the final 42 games -- one every seven games -- to crack the 30-homer threshold.

Jose Abreu 1B | HOU
White Sox's Jose Abreu: Drives in three Thursday
Abreu went 2-for-5 with a home run and three RBI in Thursday's 9-8 loss to Texas.
Abreu doesn't get as many RBI opportunities as most middle of the order hitters due to the subpar lineup around him, but he came up in a dream situation with the bases loaded and nobody out in the third inning. The Cuban first baseman didn't waste his chance, driving in two runs with a single through the left side. He led off the ninth inning with a solo homer to make it a one-run game, but Chicago was unable to push the tying run across. If he fails to pick up 25 more RBI in the season's final 44 games, Abreu will come up short of 100 for the first time in his four-year career.

Garrett Cooper 1B | ATL
Yankees' Garrett Cooper: Heads to DL
Cooper was placed on the 10-day disabled list Thursday with left hamstring tendinitis.
It's unclear when the injury cropped up on Cooper, but it could help explain the 0-for-6 stint over his last two games after he went 8-for-12 (.667) in his first three games of August. It's unclear how long the issue will keep him sidelined, but he'll be eligible to return Aug. 27 should he be ready. In the meantime, Tyler Austin was recalled from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre to take his place on the active roster, and will likely serve as the backup first baseman to Chase Headley for the time being. With Greg Bird (ankle) expected to return from the disabled list next week, Cooper's role when he is activated remains up in the air, but his playing time will likely take a big hit.

Kole Calhoun 1B | CLE
Angels' Kole Calhoun: Hits first homer of August
Calhoun went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer and a walk in Wednesday's win over the Nationals.
His first homer in three-plus weeks was a timely one -- he turned a one-run deficit into a one-run lead with one swing of the bat. Calhoun's OPS for the season still sits at just .693 following Wednesday's homer, which is more than 90 points below his mark from last season.

Matt Olson 1B | ATL
Athletics' Matt Olson: Rides pine Wednesday against lefty
Olson is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Royals.
With lefty Danny Duffy due up for Kansas City, Olson will head to the bench as Ryon Healy takes over at first base. Olson has hit four homers in his last five games, but the power still comes with a lot of swing-and-miss, and it looks like his exposure to southpaws will remain limited.

Carlos Santana 1B | ARI
Indians' Carlos Santana: Hits two homers Tuesday
Santana went 3-for-3 with two home runs, three RBI and three runs in Tuesday's win over the Twins. He also walked twice.
Following last season's career-high 34 home runs and 87 RBI, Santana hasn't delivered the results in 2017 that fantasy owners expected. Although he's on pace to match 2016's RBI total, the first baseman's .248/.353/.447 slash line through 113 games is down across the board compared to last year. The good news is that Santana has picked his game up since the All-Star break, raising his OPS to .800 for the first time since April 9.

C.J. Cron 1B | BOS
Angels' C.J. Cron: Takes seat Tuesday
Cron is out of the lineup Tuesday against the Nationals.
Cron normally starts over Luis Valbuena at first base against left-handed pitching, but even with southpaw Gio Gonzalez on the hill for the Nationals, both Cron and Valbuena will find themselves on the bench Tuesday. With no DH spot available in Washington, Albert Pujols will instead pick up a rare start at first base.
