Keston Hiura 2B | LAD
Brewers' Keston Hiura: Hits walkoff homer
Hiura went 1-for-3 and hit a game-winning, two-run home run in Monday's 7-5 victory over the Pirates.
The Brewers trailed by two runs heading into the bottom of the eighth inning, but they tied the game in that frame and wound up in the win column thanks to Hiura's long ball in the ninth inning. Hiura still isn't playing on an everyday basis, but he started 12 of the Brewers' last 22 games. During that timeframe, he's hit .262 (11-for-42) and has posted six homers, 11 RBI and a 1.017 OPS.

Brewers' Rowdy Tellez: Dealing with knee issue
Tellez left Monday's game against the Pirates due to right knee discomfort, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Tellez suffered the injury on the bases in the third inning and was forced to exit immediately after scoring. It was revealed after the game that he's dealing with some tendinitis, per Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, but Tellez was spotted walking around just fine in the clubhouse. He'll likely be re-evaluated Tuesday morning to determine his availability moving forward.

P.J. Higgins 1B | CIN
Cubs' P.J. Higgins: Retreats to bench
Higgins is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Blue Jays.
Higgins had started in seven of the Cubs' last nine games, but even with Patrick Wisdom (finger) recently moving to the injured list, Higgins doesn't look as though he'll operate as the team's primary first baseman moving forward. He didn't help his cause by going 1-for-20 with 11 strikeouts in those seven starts, and Higgins' right-handedness is also likely to limit him to the short side of a platoon at the position with the lefty-hitting Alfonso Rivas, who draws the start Monday against Blue Jays right-hander Jose Berrios.

Alfonso Rivas 1B | STL
Cubs' Alfonso Rivas: On bench versus lefty
Rivas is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Brewers.
The lefty-hitting Rivas, who was called up from Triple-A Iowa on Saturday, is expected to occupy the large side of a platoon at first base following Patrick Wisdom's (finger) placement on the injured list in a corresponding move. With southpaw Eric Lauer on the hill for Milwaukee in the series finale, Rivas will give way to the righty-hitting P.J. Higgins at first base.

C.J. Cron 1B | BOS
Rockies' C.J. Cron: Piling up hits
Cron went 2-for-4 with a pair of singles in Saturday's 3-0 loss to the Mets.
Cron has now produced five hits across the first two games of the series at Citi Field, raising his season average to .272. He'll remain in the lineup Sunday, manning first base while batting cleanup.

Rhys Hoskins 1B | CLE
Phillies' Rhys Hoskins: Receives rare maintenance day
Hoskins is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Pirates.
Alec Bohm will cover first base in the series finale while Hoskins gets a well-deserved breather after starting in every game since June 18. Even with Bryce Harper making his return from the 60-day injured list Friday, Hoskins should be locked in as the Phillies' No. 2 batter after producing a credible .256/.349/.451 slash line since the All-Star break.

LaMonte Wade 1B | CHW
Giants' LaMonte Wade: Three strikeouts in loss
Wade (undisclosed) went 0-for-4 with three strikeouts in Saturday's 3-2 extra-inning loss to the Twins.
Wade missed only one game after being scratched from Friday's lineup, but he wasn't able to contribute in his return Saturday. His slump extended to 0-for-21 over his last seven contests. With Luis Gonzalez back on the major-league roster, Wade could be at risk of falling into a reserve role, though he may also be able to pick up playing time at first base with Brandon Belt (knee) back on the injured list.

Kevin Padlo 1B | LAD
Pirates' Kevin Padlo: Designated for assignment
Padlo was designated for assignment by the Pirates on Saturday, Alex Stumpf of DKPittsburghSports.com reports.
Padlo was sent to Triple-A Indianapolis on Tuesday, and he'll lose his spot on the 40-man roster after Robert Stephenson was claimed off waivers from the Rockies on Saturday. Padlo has slashed .270/.345/.484 with 12 home runs, 44 RBI, 41 runs and 10 stolen bases over 67 games at the Triple-A level this year.
