Elehuris Montero 1B | COL
Rockies' Elehuris Montero: Gets sixth straight start
Montero will start at first base and bat seventh in Sunday's game against the Diamondbacks, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.
Though Montero doesn't have a clear-cut path to a full-time role at any spot, he'll pick up his sixth start in a row Sunday while having moved between first base, third base and designated hitter. Montero has made it tough for manager Bud Black to take him out of the lineup by going 7-for-17 with a home run and three doubles in his five starts since being recalled from Triple-A Albuquerque. The rookie looks like he could continue to get steady run while Kris Bryant (foot) is on the injured list.

Wilmer Flores 1B | SF
Giants' Wilmer Flores: Heads to bench
Flores is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Athletics, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
With the Giants bringing back Brandon Crawford, Joc Pederson and Thairo Estrada from the injured list this weekend and Evan Longoria (hamstring) on track to be activated Monday, Flores' time as an everyday player could be over. Due to the high volume of left-handed hitters on the roster, the righty-hitting Flores should at least retain a regular spot in the lineup versus southpaws.

Garrett Cooper 1B | ATL
Marlins' Garrett Cooper: Sitting again Sunday
Cooper is out of the lineup for Sunday's game versus the Cubs, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
Cooper is 1-for-9 since being reinstated from the injured list Wednesday and finds himself on the bench Sunday for the second straight game. Nick Fortes will serve as the desgianted hitter while Lewin Diaz receives the start at first in the series finale at Wrigley Field.

Luke Voit 1B | NYM
Nationals' Luke Voit: Hits first homer with Nats
Voit went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 11-5 loss to the Phillies.
Voit has gotten off to a good start to his time in Washington, having gone 4-for-10 with a walk in addition to the home run. He'll start at first base and bat third in Sunday's series finale, and manager Dave Martinez said Voit will be a regular in the lineup down the stretch.

Alec Bohm 3B | PHI
Phillies' Alec Bohm: Scores three times
Bohm went 1-for-3 with a double, two walks and three runs in Saturday's 11-5 win over the Nationals.
Since June 24, Bohm has failed to record a hit in just three of his 31 contests, with the 26-year-old batting an incredible .393 over that stretch while scoring 22 runs and driving in 19. He'll look to stay hot in Sunday's series finale; he'll be included in the lineup at third base as the Phillies' No. 3 batter.

LaMonte Wade 1B | CHW
Giants' LaMonte Wade: Homers and doubles in win
Wade went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run, a double and an additional run scored in a 7-3 win over the Athletics on Saturday.
Wade took advantage of one of MLB's weakest starting pitchers in Adam Oller to rack up a couple of extra-base hits, including his fourth home run of the season. He now has 16 RBI. Wade had a miserable July, slashing .154/.279/.346 and spending an increasing amount of time on the bench, so he will need to build on his performance by handling the bat well against higher-quality pitchers if he hopes to force his way back into the starting lineup more regularly.

Keston Hiura 2B | LAD
Brewers' Keston Hiura: Delivers two-run blast
Hiura went 1-for-2 with a two-run home run in Saturday's 7-5 loss to the Reds.
This was Hiura's first start and second game since he was brought up from Triple-A Nashville on Wednesday. He got the Brewers within a run with his fourth-inning blast, but the Reds pulled away again after that. For the season, Hiura owns a .240/.354/.472 slash line with nine long balls, 19 RBI, 21 runs scored and four stolen bases. The righty hitter owns noticeable reverse splits with a 1.054 OPS against righties versus a .559 OPS versus lefties this year, but he may still have to settle for the short side of a platoon with Rowdy Tellez at first base.
-
Donovan Solano 1B | TEX
Reds' Donovan Solano: Goes yard in win
Solano went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a walk in Saturday's 7-5 win over the Brewers.
Solano has slumped a bit lately, going 5-for-27 (.185) in his last eight contests. His homer Saturday was his first since July 22, but the Reds' lack of better options has kept the versatile infielder in the lineup. For the season, he's slashing .299/.357/.444 with three homers, 14 RBI, 12 runs scored and eight doubles in 35 contests. Jose Barrero's promotion has pushed Kyle Farmer to third base full time, but it appears Solano will maintain his fair share of playing time as the designated hitter.

Joey Votto 1B | TOR
Reds' Joey Votto: Lifts 11th homer
Votto went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and two walks in Saturday's 7-5 win over the Brewers.
Votto is now 10-for-29 (.345) over his last nine games, hitting safely in eight of them in one of his longest hot stretches of the year. He's collected three of his 11 homers this year in that span. The 38-year-old's surge has lifted his slash line to .224/.341/.406, but all of those would be career-worst marks for a full season. He's added 39 RBI, 30 runs scored, 17 doubles and one triple through 82 contests.

Pete Alonso 1B | BAL
Mets' Pete Alonso: Four hits across twin bill
Alonso went 3-for-8 with two RBI, a run scored and a walk across both games of Saturday's doubleheader versus Atlanta.
Alonso was more involved in the nightcap, going 3-for-4. He's hit safely in seven of his last eight games, going 12-for-32 (.375) in that span to get his season average back up to .283 through 107 contests, its highest point since July 1. The first baseman has added a .910 OPS, 29 home runs, 93 RBI, 63 runs scored, two stolen bases and 20 doubles this year.
