Cronenworth went 2-for-4 with a home run, a double and three RBI in Saturday's 4-0 win over the Brewers.
San Diego finished with three extra-base hits in the contest, and Cronenworth was responsible for two of them. He knocked in a run with a double in the third inning and netted the final runs of the game with a two-run homer to right field in the fifth. This was a much-needed big performance by Cronenworth, who entered the contest having gone 4-for-20 with no RBI over his previous five games.

Mets' Pete Alonso: Slugs two long balls
Alonso went 3-for-5 with two home runs, two runs and five RBI in a 9-4 win against the Mets on Saturday.
Alonso gave New York the lead for good with his two-run shot in the third inning, added a three-run bomb in the seventh and singled in the ninth for his second straight game with a home run. Four of the 27-year-old's last six hits have left the yard and he pulled into a tie with Mookie Betts for the NL lead at 16 while tying Jose Ramirez for the MLB lead with 53 RBI. Alonso is on pace for a career high in average and OBP with a .285/.363/.556 slash line through 55 contests.

Cubs' Alfonso Rivas: Remains on bench for nightcap
Rivas isn't in the lineup for the second game of Saturday's doubleheader against the Cardinals.
Rivas entered Saturday's matinee as a defensive replacement in the top of the ninth inning, but he'll remain out of the lineup once again to close out the doubleheader. Frank Schwindel is starting at first base while Willson Contreras serves as the designated hitter.

Cardinals' Paul Goldschmidt: Hitting streak reaches 25 games
Goldschmidt went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run, a pair of walks and two runs scored in Friday's 14-5 win over the Cubs.
While Goldschmidt has been limited to one-hit efforts in his last six contests, he's been able to extend his hitting streak to 25 games. He's batting .424 with 10 long balls in that impressive span. For the season, the first baseman owns a .349/.427/.630 slash line with 12 homers, 47 RBI, 36 runs scored and three stolen bases in 50 contests.

Rivas isn't starting the first game of Saturday's doubleheader against the Cardinals.
Although right-hander Johan Oviedo is starting for the Cardinals in Saturday's matinee, Rivas will take a seat for the second time in the last three games. Frank Schwindel will shift to first base while Clint Frazier serves as the designated hitter.

Diamondbacks' Christian Walker: Goes yard in win
Walker went 2-for-3 with a walk and a solo home run in Friday's 8-6 win over Pittsburgh.
Walker cranked his team-leading 14th homer, his eighth in the last 17 games, in the second inning to even the score at 1-1. The first baseman's .190 BABIP has led to a .211 batting average, but Walker leads the team in slugging (.489), with 22 of his 38 hits going for extra bases. He also leads the Diamondbacks with 26 RBI.

Giants' Wilmer Flores: Reaches five times in win
Flores went 3-for-4 with a double, an RBI, three runs scored and two walks in Friday's 15-6 win over the Marlins.
When the Marlins changed their pitching plans to feature an opener, Flores took over the leadoff spot for Tommy La Stella (undisclosed) as the Giants shuffled their lineup on the fly. From the No. 1 spot, Flores was a force in a big win. This was his third multi-hit effort in his last 14 contests. For the season, the veteran infielder is slashing .262/.326/.436 with six home runs, 31 RBI, 26 runs scored and 11 doubles in 193 plate appearances. Brandon Belt (knee) has resumed running, but Flores should be able to retain a near-everyday role for a little longer.

Marlins' Garrett Cooper: Ready to go Friday
Cooper is starting at designated hitter and batting second in Friday's matchup with the Giants.
Cooper will return to the lineup after missing Thursday's contest with a side injury. He's produced at least one hit in seven of his last eight games, going 12-for-31 with a homer, seven RBI and three runs over that stretch.

Reds' Donovan Solano: Starting rehab assignment Tuesday
Solano (hamstring) is expected to start his rehab assignment Tuesday, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
Solano has yet to make his Reds debut after signing with the team in the offseason, but he appears to be closing in on a return. The 34-year-old batted .280 with seven homers, 31 RBI, 35 runs and two stolen bases over 307 at-bats in 101 games with the Giants last season.
