Brewers' Rowdy Tellez: Sits against southpaw

Alec Bohm 3B | PHI
Phillies' Alec Bohm: Loses job to Torreyes
Bohm is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Reds.
On the bench for the fourth consecutive contest, Bohm has seemingly lost hold of his everyday role at third base. Ronald Torreyes will pick up his eighth consecutive start Sunday and appears to be manager Joe Girardi's preferred option at the position while the 28-year-old continues to swing a hot bat and impress in the field.

Freddie Freeman 1B | LAD
Braves' Freddie Freeman: Swipes seventh bag
Freeman went 2-for-3 with two walks, two runs, an RBI and a stolen base Saturday in Atlanta's 12-2 win over Washington.
Though Freeman wasn't responsible for any of Atlanta's six extra-base hits on the day, he put an end to a 1-for-18 skid at the dish over the past six games and chipped in a steal. While Freeman's combination of power and batting average were the main reasons why he was valued as an early round pick in fantasy drafts, his contributions on the basepaths shouldn't be overlooked. With seven stolen bases on the season, Freeman ranks tied for second among all first basemen, trailing only St. Louis' Paul Goldschmidt (eight).

C.J. Cron 1B | BOS
Rockies' C.J. Cron: Blasts 19th home run
Cron went 1-for-3 with a home run, two RBI and a walk in Saturday's 4-1 win over the Giants.
Cron homered off Sammy Long in the second inning. In addition, he grounded out in the sixth inning and knocked in Brendan Rodgers. He has reached base safely in each of his last 10 games. In that stretch, he is batting .457 with five long balls and 20 RBI. The 31-year-old is slashing .262/.370/.502 with 19 home runs, 62 RBI and 49 runs scored in 370 plate appearances overall. He leads the Rockies in home runs and RBI.

Drew Ellis 1B | PHI
Diamondbacks' Drew Ellis: Blasts first career home run
Ellis went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run in Saturday's 7-0 win over the Padres.
Ellis slammed his first MLB long ball off Joe Musgrove in the first inning to give the Diamondbacks a five-run lead. The rookie recently got called up July 30 to replace Eduardo Escobar. He is slashing .129/.250/.226 with one home run, four RBI and four runs scored in 36 plate appearances. He has yet to record multiple hits in a game.

Brewers' Rowdy Tellez: Provides pinch-hit homer in victory
Tellez came off the bench and cracked a pinch-hit, two-run home run in Saturday's 6-0 win over Pittsburgh.
Tellez hit for Milwaukee reliever Brad Boxberger in the sixth inning and sent a Chris Stratton offering over the right-field wall to give the Brewers a 5-0 lead. It was the 10th homer of the year for Tellez, six of which have come with Milwaukee. The 26-year-old is hitting .333/.407/.613 in 86 plate appearances since being acquired from Toronto. He's had hot streaks like this in the past for the Blue Jays; we'll have to wait and see if Tellez can remain productive over a longer duration this time.

LaMonte Wade 1B | CHW
Giants' LaMonte Wade: Remains on bench
Wade remains on the bench for Saturday's game against the Rockies, Amy Gutierrez of the Giants' official site reports.
The Giants will again load up on righties as the Rockies send another southpaw (Kyle Freeland) to the mound. Kris Bryant starts in right field, with Evan Longoria (shoulder) returning from the injured list to start at third base.

Brewers' Rowdy Tellez: Sitting Saturday night
Tellez is not starting Game 2 of Saturday's doubleheader against the Pirates.
Tellez went 1-for-3 and scored a run in the lopsided loss Saturday afternoon. Jace Peterson will play first base and bat seventh in the nightcap.

Christian Walker 1B | HOU
Diamondbacks' Christian Walker: On bench Saturday
Walker is not starting Saturday's game against the Padres.
Walker has gone hitless in each of his last four starts; however, he has drawn four walks in that span. Asdrubal Cabrera is starting at first base Saturday, with Drew Ellis playing third base.

Rhys Hoskins 1B | CLE
Phillies' Rhys Hoskins: Has cortisone shot
Hoskins (groin) had a cortisone injection Friday and still expects to be activated during next week's series in Arizona, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports.
Hoskins has been dealing with a strained groin since late July and was finally placed on the injured list Aug. 10. His exact return date should become clear when the Phillies travel to Arizona for the series starting Tuesday.
