Kole Calhoun 1B | CLE
Diamondbacks' Kole Calhoun: Leaves with strained hamstring
Calhoun was removed from Wednesday's game against the Giants with a strained left hamstring.
Calhoun walked during the second inning and appeared to suffer the injury while making a head-first slide into third base, leading to his prompt removal from the contest. The severity of the injury remains unclear, but it's a concerning development as he missed two months earlier this season after undergoing surgery on the same hamstring.

Brewers' Rowdy Tellez: Managing knee injury
Tellez was removed from Wednesday's game against the Cubs with right knee discomfort, Will Sammon of The Athletic reports.
Tellez hit a single during the first inning and came around to score on Lorenzo Cain's double, and it appears that's when he suffered the injury. The first baseman initially remained in the contest before being replaced by a pinch hitter. The severity of the injury remains unclear, but there's a chance the Brewers were simply being cautious after putting up a seven spot during the opening frame.

Christian Walker 1B | HOU
Diamondbacks' Christian Walker: Not starting Wednesday
Walker is out of the lineup Wednesday against the Giants.
Walker went 0-for-3 with a walk during Tuesday's loss and will take a seat for Wednesday's contest. Pavin Smith will work at first base in his absence with righty Kevin Gausman pitching for San Francisco.

Alex Blandino 1B | SF
Reds' Alex Blandino: Reinstated, sent down
Blandino (hand) was reinstated from the 60-day injured list and optioned to Triple-A Louisville on Wednesday.
Blandino began a rehab assignment at the end of July and went 1-for-26 with two doubles, two RBI, a run, five walks and five strikeouts. He'll be an option to serve as utility depth if the Reds encounter injuries.

Asdrubal Cabrera 1B | CIN
Diamondbacks' Asdrubal Cabrera: Blasts two-run shot
Cabrera went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and an additional run scored in Tuesday's loss against the Giants.
Cabrera slugged a sixth-inning blast off Alex Wood for his seventh homer of the season. The veteran third baseman has gone 8-for-25 with a .993 OPS, two homers and seven RBI in eight games this month.

Jake Cronenworth 1B | SD
Padres' Jake Cronenworth: Gets day off
Cronenworth is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Marlins.
Cronenworth will sit for the first time since July 24, ending a stretch of 14 consecutive starts in which he slashed .255/.305/.509 while driving in 14 runs and scoring nine times. Ha-Seong Kim will pick up the start at shortstop, the position that could be Cronenworth's primary home for the rest of the season with the Padres considering bringing Fernando Tatis (shoulder) back as an outfielder once he's ready to come off the 10-day injured list.

Rhys Hoskins 1B | CLE
Phillies' Rhys Hoskins: Moves to injured list
Hoskins was placed on the 10-day injured list Tuesday with a left groin strain.
Hoskins hasn't played since Thursday because of left groin soreness, so his placement on the injured list hardly comes as a surprise. The transaction is retroactive to Saturday, leaving the first baseman eligible to be reinstated Aug. 17 against the Diamondbacks. That being said, it's not yet clear if he's expected to require additional time to recover. Brad Miller seems likely to pick up the bulk of the time at first base during Hoskins' absence.

Alec Bohm 3B | PHI
Phillies' Alec Bohm: Not starting Tuesday
Bohm is not starting Tuesday against the Dodgers.
Bohm will get his first breather of August after going 9-for-29 with three RBI to start the month. Ronald Torreyes will man the hot corner and bat seventh in the series opener.

Rhys Hoskins 1B | CLE
Phillies' Rhys Hoskins: Remains out Tuesday
Hoskins (groin) is not in the starting lineup Tuesday against the Dodgers.
Per Matt Gelb of The Athletic, Hoskins' groin is still not feeling 100 percent, which will lead to the first baseman sitting his fourth straight game. Brad Miller will start at first base and bat fifth. Hoskins can continue to be considered day-to-day.

Freddie Freeman 1B | LAD
Braves' Freddie Freeman: Good to go Tuesday
Freeman is back in the starting lineup Tuesday against the Reds after missing Sunday's contest due to illness.
Freeman exited Saturday's matchup against Washington with an upper respiratory infection. He remained out of the starting nine for the series finale, though he did make a pinch-hit appearance later in the game. The slugger appears to be feeling much better as he's set to bat third and man first base Tuesday.
