Tellez is out of the lineup for the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader with the Cubs.

The Brewers are going with a right-handed-heavy lineup to counter Cubs lefty Justin Steele in the series opener, so the lefty-hitting Tellez will sit out the front end of the twin bill along with Omar Narvaez and Christian Yelich. Eduardo Escobar will man first base in the early game, but expect Tellez to return to the lineup for the nightcap with right-hander Alec Mills on the bump for Chicago.

Bell got the start in right field during Sunday's loss to Atlanta, going 1-for-5.

With lefty Max Fried on the mound for the opposition, the Nats found a way to get both Ryan Zimmerman and the switch-hitting Bell into the lineup. The 28-year-old hadn't seen work in the outfield since he was a rookie in 2016, and he should see most of his action over the final weeks of the season at his usual first base, but Bell could eventually wind up with some extra position flex. On the year, he's batting .249 with 19 homers and 60 RBI through 96 games.

Goldschmidt went 2-for-5 with a pair of RBI singles in a loss to the Royals on Sunday.

Goldschmidt managed his third two-hit effort of the last four games, a stretch that's also seen him belt his 18th home run of the season. The veteran first baseman went into the All-Star break wielding a hot bat and has impressively maintained his momentum since the Midsummer Classic, as he boasts a .328/.386/.544 slash line with six doubles, seven homers, 22 RBI, 13 walks, two stolen bases and 19 runs over the 31 games he's played since June 30.

Cronenworth went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional RBI in a 2-0 victory against the Diamondbacks on Sunday.

Cronenworth opened the scoring with a first-inning RBI single and launched a 416-foot solo home run to right in the fourth to provide a valuable insurance run as the infielder will look to use the successful performance to escape a recent 2-for-16 mini slump. Additionally, Cronenworth made his 11th appearance at shortstop this season, putting him well on his way to maintaining eligibility there in most formats for next season with Fernando Tatis still injured.

Cron went 2-for-4 with two homers and seven RBI in Sunday's 13-8 win over Miami.

Cron absolutely dominated Miami's pitching staff all weekend and topped it off with a monster Sunday. He launched a three-run shot in the first inning and a grand slam in the fourth, bringing him to 18 homers this season. In three games against the Marlins this weekend, the right-handed slugger went 6-for-10 with four homers and 13 RBI. Cron raised his season OPS to .859 through 350 plate appearances.

Cabrera is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Padres, Steve Gilbert of MLB.com reports.

Drew Ellis will get a turn at third base while Cabrera takes a seat for the series finale. Cabrera still looks like Arizona's top option at the position for now, but as a veteran on an expiring contract, his opportunities could take a hit in August and September while the 35-77 Diamondbacks prioritize the development of younger players.

Solano will start at second base and bat sixth Sunday against the Brewers.

Solano hadn't started either of the Giants' past two games, both of which came against right-handed pitching. He'll draw back into the lineup Sunday with southpaw Brett Anderson on the mound for Milwaukee, but the righty-hitting Solano looks like he'll be used as a short-side platoon player at the keystone moving forward following the lefty-hitting Tommy La Stella's recent return from the injured list.

Flores will start at third base and bat cleanup Sunday against the Brewers.

Flores had been on the bench for each of the past four games, but he'll get a look at the hot corner Sunday while Kris Bryant moves to the outfield. Following the recent returns of Brandon Belt and Tommy La Stella from the injured list along with the trade-deadline acquisition of Bryant, Flores' starting opportunities will likely come mostly against left-handed pitching moving forward.

Hoskins (groin) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Mets.

Hoskins will sit for the third straight game while he manages a tight left groin. Brad Miller will pick up another start at first base in place of Hoskins, whom the Phillies are labeling as day-to-day.

Freeman (illness) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Nationals, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.

Austin Riley will shift across the diamond and cover first base in place of Freeman, who made an early exit from Saturday's 3-2 win while battling an upper-respiratory infection. According to Bowman, Freeman admitted he felt sick heading into Saturday's game and experienced spells of dizziness before leaving early, so Atlanta is likely erring on the side of caution by holding him out of the series finale. Freeman will effectively get two days off thanks to Atlanta having an open date in the schedule Monday, but the team is hopeful he'll be ready to go for Tuesday's series opener versus Cincinnati.
