Voit is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game versus the Brewers.

Voit has a .829 OPS across his past 10 games and will take a seat for Tuesday's contest. Robinson Cano will bat sixth as the designated hitter against Milwaukee.

Ellis (side) is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Royals.

After exiting Monday's 9-5 win in the third inning with right side discomfort, Ellis will get at least one day off to heal up. Top third baseman Josh Rojas (hand) is also on the bench for the third straight game, so the Diamondbacks will turn to Jake Hager to man the hot corner.

Rivas is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game in Cincinnati.

The slumping Rivas will take a seat for the second time in four games Tuesday, even with the platoon advantage being in his favor with right-hander Tyler Mahle toeing the rubber for Cincinnati. Since the start of May, Rivas is slashing .130/.273/.217 with a 40 percent strikeout rate.

Goldschmidt went 1-for-5 with a grand slam in Monday's 7-3 extra-inning win over the Blue Jays.

The veteran first baseman's seventh homer of the season was a dramatic one, as he ripped a Ryan Borucki slider down the left-field line for a walkoff slam in the 10th inning. Goldschmidt also extended his hitting streak to 15 games in the process, a stretch during which he's slashing .438/.456/.859 with five home runs and 22 RBI.

Freeman went 3-for-5 with two doubles, two runs and two RBI in Monday's 10-1 victory against the Nationals.

Freeman drove in a run with a sixth-inning double and notched another RBI with a single in the following frame. The star first baseman has three three-hit performances in his past six contests, and five of his 10 hits during that span have been two-baggers. Freeman has been stuck on three home runs since April 24, but he is tied for the league lead with 16 doubles on the campaign.

Alonso went 3-for-5 with a three-run home run and an additional run in Monday's 13-3 victory versus San Francisco.

The first baseman knocked a big three-run blast in the third inning that gave the Mets their first lead. He added two singles in the contest for his fifth multi-hit game over his past six contests. During the hot stretch, Alonso is batting .462 (12-for-26) with three homers, 11 RBI and a stolen base.

Ellis left Monday's game against the Royals with right side discomfort.

Ellis drew the start at third base and hit eighth, though he was forced from the game in the fourth inning. Prior to his exit, Ellis went 0-for-1 with a strikeout. Jake Hager took over at third base and could see increased playing time if both Ellis and Josh Rojas (hand) remain sidelined.

Smith will sit Monday against the Giants.

Smith has struggled at the plate throughout the year, hitting .189/.274/.243 with zero homers. He'll sit for the third consecutive game, though this one is perhaps more significant as it's the first of that stretch to come against a righty (Alex Cobb). J.D. Davis remains the designated hitter.

The Reds transferred Solano (hamstring) from the 10-day injured list to the 60-day injured list Monday.

The transaction shouldn't alter Solano's timeline for making his Reds debut, as he was already in line to miss the first two months of the season after having yet to resume running at 100 percent since receiving a platelet-rich plasma injection in late April to address lingering pain in his left hamstring. Solano hasn't been shut down from activities entirely, but since he still needs to complete his running program, incorporate full on-field baseball activities into his workout regimen and take at-bats in simulated games before heading out on a rehab assignment, he's likely multiple weeks away from coming off the IL.

Ellis started at third base and went 1-for-4 with a double and a run scored in Sunday's 5-4 loss to the Cubs.

Ellis was called up to start with Josh Rojas dealing with a bruised left hand, and it's his second spin in the majors this season. He replaced Yonny Hernandez on the roster, as Arizona manager Torey Lovullo told Nick Piecoro of the Arizona Republic that he preferred Ellis in matchups against opposing pitchers in the coming days.
