Christian Walker 1B | HOU
Diamondbacks' Christian Walker: Begins rehab assignment
Walker (oblique) began a rehab assignment at Triple-A Reno and played games Monday and Tuesday, Nick Piecoro of the Arizona Republic reports.
Walker is on the verge of returning to Diamondbacks, as manager Torey Lovullo estimated at least one more rehab game before the club makes a determination of whether he's ready to return. This is Walker's second stint on the injured list due to the same oblique issue, though it looks like this time he'll miss fewer games than the 18 he missed earlier.

Rhys Hoskins 1B | CLE
Phillies' Rhys Hoskins: Launches game-deciding homer
Hoskins went 1-for-3 with two-run home run during Tuesday's 2-0 win over the Marlins.
The 28-year-old went deep off Sandy Alcantara during the fourth inning, which ended up being the only runs from either team during the contest. Hoskins has a .262/.335/.492 slash line with 10 home runs, 12 doubles, 29 RBI and 29 runs through 49 games this season, though Tuesday's long ball was only his second in the month of May.

Josh Bell DH | MIN
Nationals' Josh Bell: Starting to heat up
Bell went 2-for-3 with a home run and a walk in Tuesday's loss to the Reds.
Bell kept the Nationals in the game with a ninth-inning blast off reliever Amir Garrett, but it wasn't enough to turn the tide. He's warming up with two homers over his last five appearances, a span in which he's recorded three multi-hit efforts.

Paul Goldschmidt 1B | NYY
Cardinals' Paul Goldschmidt: Plates lone run Monday
Goldschmidt went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a walk Monday against the White Sox.
Goldschmidt was one of two St. Louis players who recorded two hits in this game -- Yadier Molina was the other -- and he plated the team's lone run with an RBI single that scored Tommy Edman in the top of the sixth. The veteran first baseman has hit safely in all but two of his last 14 games, batting .304/.371/.500 in that stretch.

Keston Hiura 2B | LAD
Brewers' Keston Hiura: Officially recalled by Brewers
Hiura was recalled by the Brewers on Monday.
Hiura was sent to Triple-A Nashville at the beginning of May, and he slashed .438/.526/.906 with three home runs, seven RBI and two stolen bases in nine minor-league games. Hitting the ball hard has never been a problem for Hiura, but it is a bit concerning that he struck out at a 34.2 percent clip during this latest run at Triple-A. The Brewers would like him to cement himself as the primary first baseman, but Daniel Vogelbach could still see some starts against righties until Hiura rounds into form.

Keston Hiura 2B | LAD
Brewers' Keston Hiura: Rejoining Milwaukee
The Brewers plan to recall Hiura from Triple-A Nashville ahead of Monday's series opener against the Padres, Robert Murray of FanSided.com reports.
After Hiura posted a .513 OPS while striking out in 36 percent of his plate appearances over his first 26 games of the season in the majors, the Brewers sent him to Triple-A on May 3 to regain some confidence at the dish. While the 24-year-old still turned in a bloated 34.2 percent strikeout rate with Nashville over the past three weeks, he at least rediscovered his power stroke (three home runs and six doubles in 38 plate appearances). Though he'll be moving back up to the big club, Hiura isn't a lock to recapture an everyday role at first base, where Daniel Vogelbach has delivered a respectable .784 OPS since Hiura was demoted. The righty-swinging Hiura may have to initially settle for the short side of a platoon at the position with the lefty-hitting Vogelbach until the Brewers feel more confident Hiura can handle a full-time role.

Rhys Hoskins 1B | CLE
Phillies' Rhys Hoskins: Snaps homer drought in loss
Hoskins went 1-for-3 with a home run, two RBI and a walk in a loss to Boston on Saturday.
The first baseman drilled a solo shot to left field in the sixth inning to bring Philadelphia within two runs. In the next frame, he took a hit-by-pitch with the bases loaded to plate another run. Hoskins then had a chance to play the hero in the ninth inning, but he struck out with the winning runs on base to end the game. Hoskins' homer was his first since going deep twice April 26.

Garrett Cooper 1B | ATL
Marlins' Garrett Cooper: Walks it off Saturday
Cooper went 3-for-4 with a double and a two-run home run in Saturday's 3-1 win over the Mets.
The 30-year-old is red hot -- he's homered in three straight games -- and this one carried some extra oomph as he took Drew Smith deep in the ninth inning for a walkoff shot. Cooper has a seven-game hitting streak going as well, and the surge has pushed his slash line on the season to .242/.306/.417 with five home runs and 19 RBI through 41 contests.

Alec Bohm 3B | PHI
Phillies' Alec Bohm: Day off Saturday
Bohm will sit Saturday against the Red Sox.
Bohm finds himself on the bench for just the third time all season despite the fact that he's hitting just .225/.254/.337 on the year. Those numbers are a far cry from his .338/.400/.481 line in his rookie season last year, but he's likely to continue getting the chance to work through his struggles at the big-league level given his prospect pedigree and the Phillies' lack of alternatives. Brad Miller will start at third base in his absence.
