Manager Mike Shildt said Thursday that Arraez is day-to-day with posterior knee soreness, AJ Cassavell of MLB.com reports.

Arraez appeared to tweak his knee while running to first base in the top of the sixth inning Thursday against the Giants, and he was replaced on defense when the Padres took the field in for the bottom of the frame. Shildt's comments suggest that the 28-year-old infielder didn't suffer any significant damage during the incident and could be back in the starting lineup within a few days. If Arraez ends up needing to miss a few games, Gavin Sheets or Jake Cronenworth would likely shift over to first base.

Naylor was removed from Thursday's game against Atlanta due to hand and shoulder soreness, Jody Jackson of Bally Sports Arizona reports.

Manager Torey Lovullo noted Wednesday that Naylor has been playing through shoulder and hand issues for the past few days, but the 27-year-old wasn't quite able to make it through Thursday's game. The team is currently labeling him as day-to-day, though Pavin Smith may be in line for reps at first base if Naylor's injuries persist.

Bericoto (undisclosed) has gone 1-for-9 with four strikeouts in two games since he was assigned to Double-A Richmond after being reinstated from Triple-A Sacramento's 7-day injured list.

Bericoto missed about a month of action for Sacramento due to the injury before he was sent to Richmond after playing in six rehab games in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League. The 23-year-old had slashed just .196/.196/.283 at Sacramento prior to missing time with the injury, so Bericoto could need an extended run of quality performances with Richmond before he rejoins the Triple-A club.

The Pirates re-signed Solak to a minor-league contract Thursday, Alex Stumpf of MLB.com reports.

Solak had elected free agency after being outrighted off the Pirates' 40-man roster, but he's back on a restructured pact. He went 1-for-11 at the dish during his brief time with the Pirates but has slashed .389/.449/.619 this season in the minors.

Naylor was pulled from Thursday's game in Atlanta with an undisclosed injury, Nick Piecoro of The Arizona Republic reports.

Naylor did not appear to suffer an obvious injury, but Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo revealed Wednesday that the first baseman has been playing through shoulder and hand issues. The Diamondbacks should update Naylor's condition soon. Naylor went 1-for-2 with a two-run single before exiting.

Freeman isn't in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Mets, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.

Freeman will take a seat for Thursday's series finale after going 4-for-12 with two RBI and a run scored through the first three games. He'll be replaced at first base by Enrique Hernandez, who will bat seventh against Mets starter David Peterson.

Alonso went 2-for-4 with two home runs and five total RBI in a 6-1 win against the Dodgers on Wednesday.

Alonso was almost the entire Mets offense in the victory, as he collected two of the team's four hits and knocked in five of the squad's six runs. His first long ball was a 392-foot, two-run shot in the first inning, and the slugger added a massive 447-foot, three-run blast in the eighth. Alonso went through a 16-game stretch without a home run between May 6 and May 24, but since then he's bounced back with five long balls and 15 RBI across his subsequent 10 contests.

The Giants signed Smith to a one-year contract Wednesday, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Smith opted out of his minor-league contract with the Yankees recently and has managed to land in a good situation in San Francisco. He could receive regular starts at first base against right-handed pitching for a Giants club that's been starved for production at the position. Smith slashed .317/.389/.622 with seven long balls and 22 RBI over 82 at-bats in 22 games in May while at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

The Giants designated Wade for assignment Tuesday, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Wade sported a healthy .767 OPS from 2021 to 2024 with the Giants, but he's struggled to get going in 2025, producing a lowly .167/.275/.271 batting line with just one home run. The 31-year-old is sure to clear waivers given his $5 million salary, and he will likely find another opportunity in a new organization in short order. Dominic Smith was signed by the Giants on Wednesday and could see regular starts at first base.

Hiura will start at first base and bat seventh in Wednesday's game against the Marlins.

After being called up from Triple-A Albuquerque over the weekend, Hiura is now slated to get his third start in the Rockies' last four games. Hiura has gone 1-for-6 with a double and two runs since joining the Rockies and will likely need to continue hitting to solidify a spot in the everyday lineup.
