Carlos Santana 1B | ARI
Phillies' Carlos Santana: Two hits in Wednesday's win
Santana went 2-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI in Wednesday's 4-0 win over the Braves.
Neither team produced much offense in this one, but Santana's RBI on a squib to third with the bases loaded in the third inning proved to be all the offense Jake Arrieta would need. The veteran first baseman has put together back-to-back two-hit efforts, and after a sluggish April he's now batting .271 (19-for-70) through 19 games in May with six homers, 19 RBI and 11 runs.

Donovan Solano 1B | TEX
Dodgers' Donovan Solano: Lands on minor-league DL
Solano (hamstring) was placed on the disabled list at Triple-A Oklahoma City on Wednesday.
Solano was hitting an impressive .370/.419/.507 with three homers and four stolen bases across 38 games with Oklahoma City. Fortunately, the organization only expects him to miss the next 10-to-14 days as a result of the injury.

Wilmer Flores 1B | SF
Mets' Wilmer Flores: Not in lineup Wednesday
Flores is not starting Wednesday against the Marlins, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.
The infielder is hitting just .237 on the year, though his 11:11 BB:K is an encouraging sign and he has six hits in his last 18 at-bats. Luis Guillorme starts at third base in this one.

Brandon Dixon 1B | SD
Reds' Brandon Dixon: Called up Tuesday
Dixon was called up from Triple-A Louisville on Tuesday, Bobby Nightengale of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
Dixon was hitting .326 with four home runs and 14 RBI over 37 games at Triple-A. He'll likely be used off the bench during his time with the big-league club. Rosell Herrera was sent down in a corresponding move.

Freddie Freeman 1B | LAD
Braves' Freddie Freeman: Records base knock Monday
Freeman went 1-for-4 with a stolen base during Monday's loss to the Phillies.
Freeman was one of the few Braves who came away with a base hit Monday, as their offense was silenced in a shutout loss. Despite a poor offensive showing by Atlanta, Freeman has been tearing the cover off the ball through his first 46 games as he's put together a .324/.428/.561 batting line, and his five steals are already more than halfway to last season's career-high eight.

Wilmer Flores 1B | SF
Mets' Wilmer Flores: Gets breather Monday
Flores is not in the lineup Monday against the Marlins.
Flores has served as the Mets' primary third baseman with Todd Frazier (hamstring) on the shelf, but he'll head to the bench for Monday's series opener after starting eight straight games. In his stead, Luis Guillorme will start at third base and hit seventh.

Dominic Smith 1B | ATL
Mets' Dominic Smith: To play some outfield in minors
Smith will play some right field for Triple-A Las Vegas, David Lennon of Newsday reports.
The move seems to be more about who's behind Smith than who's in front of him. Right fielder Jay Bruce is likely to be a bigger roadblock than first baseman Adrian Gonzalez, but Smith no longer looks like the top first baseman in the Mets' system with Peter Alonso crushing the ball to the tune of a .355/.486/.659 line for Double-A Binghamton. Trying Smith out in right field suggests that the Mets now view his likely role as a bench bat who starts occasionally at first base and corner outfield.

Rhys Hoskins 1B | CLE
Phillies' Rhys Hoskins: Launches sixth homer
Hoskins went 1-for-4 with a solo homer Sunday against the Cardinals.
The young first baseman hasn't come close to matching the impressive power output he showed during his rookie season last year, when he hit 18 homers in 50 games while slugging .618. Sunday's homer was just his sixth through 44 games this season, though he's still been a perfectly capable hitter, posting a .250/.389/.453 line.

Asdrubal Cabrera 1B | CIN
Mets' Asdrubal Cabrera: Hits seventh home run
Cabrera went 1-for-1 with a home run, two RBI and one run scored in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Diamondbacks.
Cabrera came up clutch with a pinch-hit home run in the seventh that gave the Mets a 3-1 lead. He's putting together a solid season through his first 41 games, slashing .321/.368/.547 to go with 26 RBI and 21 extra-base hits. Although some regression at the plate is likely on the way, Cabrera should continue to be a reliable fantasy play until he cools off.

Anthony Rizzo 1B | NYY
Cubs' Anthony Rizzo: Drives in three in Saturday's nightcap
Rizzo went 1-for-4 with a double, a run scored and three RBI in a 10-0 win over the Reds in the second game of Saturday's doubleheader.
Rizzo is still batting just .203 this season, though he does have a modest three-game hitting streak going at the moment. The 28-year-old has batted .273 or better in each of the past four seasons, so it would be reasonable to expect his current average to continue to rise.
