Freddie Freeman 1B | LAD
Braves' Freddie Freeman: Rare day off Saturday
Freeman is not in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Phillies.
Freeman has started every game at first base since Aug. 1 and is 7-for-21 in his career against Saturday's opposing starter Henderson Alvarez, but manager Brian Snitker decided it was time for a day off. Matt Adams will get the start at first base in Freeman's place.

Paul Goldschmidt 1B | NYY
Diamondbacks' Paul Goldschmidt: Scores three runs Friday
Goldschmidt went 2-for-3 with a double, two walks and three runs in Friday's 13-11 win over the Marlins.
Goldschmidt mustered only one multi-hit performance through his first 13 games of September, but he's now turned in back-to-back two-hit efforts to bring his batting average above the Mendoza Line for the month. Even when Goldschmidt isn't piling up the hits, he's always capable of scoring plenty of runs for fantasy owners thanks to his patient eye at the plate. In the midst of what's been a disappointing month, Goldschmidt is still running an excellent 9.2 percent walk rate.

Christian Walker 1B | HOU
Diamondbacks' Christian Walker: Hits first home run with Arizona
Walker swatted a pinch-hit solo home run in Friday's 13-11 win over the Marlins.
The home run was Walker's first in the majors since 2014, when he received a cup of coffee with the Orioles. Prior to being promoted to the big club earlier this moth, Walker displayed major power with 32 home runs and 75 extra-base hits for Triple-A Reno, but his contact issues have thus far from prevented him from gaining much traction at the big-league level. It's unlikely that Walker will pick up consistent at-bats over the final week and change of the regular season with the Diamondbacks aiming to solidify playoff positioning.

Paul Goldschmidt 1B | NYY
Diamondbacks' Paul Goldschmidt: Draws closer to 20-20 season
Goldschmidt went 2-for-3 with a walk, two RBI, one run and a stolen base in Wednesday's 13-7 win over the Padres.
After swiping 13 bases in the first half, Goldschmidt has been less aggressive since the All-Star break, attempting only six steals in 59 games. Even so, in collecting his 18th stolen base of the season, Goldschmidt still has a good chance at turning in a third consecutive campaign of at least 20 steals and 20 homers, an impressive achievement for any player, much less a first baseman.

Tommy Joseph 1B | TEX
Phillies' Tommy Joseph: Hits 22nd homer Wednesday
Joseph went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in a 7-5 win over the Dodgers on Wednesday.
Joseph has started at first base just 10 times in the Phillies' last 23 games. His playing time will continue to be limited over the remainder of the season with the Phils focused on getting Rhys Hoskins at-bats.

Justin Bour 1B | SF
Marlins' Justin Bour: Homers for second consecutive day
Bour went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer and a pair of walks against the Mets on Wednesday.
He's now homered in consecutive games, although this outing broke up his streak of four consecutive two-hit efforts. Bour has regained his form quickly after coming off the DL and is poised to be a strong fantasy asset over the season's final week-plus.

Justin Bour 1B | SF
Marlins' Justin Bour: Hits first homer since coming off DL
Bour went 2-for-5 with a solo homer in Tuesday's 10-inning win over the Mets.
After opening the season by hitting 21 homers in his first 81 games, Bour cooled off briefly and then got injured shortly after the All-Star break; he spent a lengthy stretch on the DL before returning earlier this month. Over his first nine games back in the lineup, the 29-year-old hit .355 with an .873 OPS, but Tuesday's long ball marks his first since returning to health. He's in position to put together a strong season-ending run.

Rhys Hoskins 1B | CLE
Phillies' Rhys Hoskins: Drives in four Tuesday
Hoskins went 2-for-3 with a double, a walk and four RBI in Tuesday's 6-2 win over the Dodgers.
Hoskins came in mired in a 1-for-13 slump, but broke out with an RBI single to chase starter Yu Darvish in the sixth inning before delivering the game's biggest blow with a three-run double in the seventh. The rookie phenom already has seven multi-RBI performances in September and has now smacked five doubles to go with his 18 home runs in 39 major-league games. His patient approach was on full display in this one, as Hoskins saw a game-high 30 pitches in his four plate appearances.

Josh Bell DH | MIN
Pirates' Josh Bell: September struggles continue
Bell went 0-for-2 with a pair of strikeouts against Milwaukee on Monday.
He entered the game as a right-handed pinch hitter in the sixth inning, whiffing against southpaw Josh Hader. Bell has four hits in his last 30 at-bats and two extra-base hits in 64 September plate appearances. He's totaled one RBI over the last 13 games despite batting fourth or fifth in the order.

Josh Bell DH | MIN
Pirates' Josh Bell: Heads to bench Monday
Bell is not in the lineup Monday against the Brewers.
Bell will head to the bench for a breather after starting nine of the past 10 games at first base and going just 7-for-37 (.189) over that span. Jose Osuna will start in his place, batting fifth.
