Ty France 1B | SD
Mariners' Ty France: Doubles in return to action
France (wrist) went 1-for-4 with a double in a win over the Athletics on Monday.
France was able to get on the board in his first game after spending the minimum amount of time on the injured list. France had been mired in an deep, extended slump prior to being sidelined -- he'd slashed .063/.196/.083 across the 56 plate appearances encompassing the 14 games leading into his sabbatical -- so perhaps he'll return to his early season level of production now that his wrist is presumably back to 100 percent.

Paul Goldschmidt 1B | NYY
Cardinals' Paul Goldschmidt: Plates lone run Monday
Goldschmidt went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a walk Monday against the White Sox.
Goldschmidt was one of two St. Louis players who recorded two hits in this game -- Yadier Molina was the other -- and he plated the team's lone run with an RBI single that scored Tommy Edman in the top of the sixth. The veteran first baseman has hit safely in all but two of his last 14 games, batting .304/.371/.500 in that stretch.

Andrew Vaughn 1B | MIL
White Sox's Andrew Vaughn: Developing dramatic flair
Vaughn went 2-for-4 with a double and a two-run home run in Monday's 5-1 win over the Cardinals.
Vaughn is developing a flair for the dramatic. On Sunday, he briefly tied the game against the Yankees with a ninth-inning blast off Aroldis Chapman, then during Monday's game, he went yard against St. Louis starter Kwang Hyun Kim in the bottom of the sixth for what turned out to be the game-winning hit. The rookie had one RBI during the month of April, but he's driven in 11 thus far in May.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. 1B | TOR
Blue Jays' Vladimir Guerrero: Belts pair of homers
Guerrero went 2-for-5 with two home runs and three RBI in Monday's loss to the Rays.
Guerrero clobbered a 461-foot solo homer in the fourth inning, and he followed that up with a two-run blast in the bottom of the eighth. The slugger continues to see the ball well, leaving the yard four times in his last four contests. He now sits with 15 long balls to go along with 39 RBI and a .333 batting average on the year (46 games).

Ty France 1B | SD
Mariners' Ty France: Back from IL
France (wrist) has been activated from the 10-day injured list ahead of Monday's game against the Athletics, Shannon Drayer of 710 ESPN Seattle reports.
France was moved to the injured list May 14 due to inflammation in his left wrist, but he's been cleared to return after the 10-day minimum. The 26-year-old will return to the starting nine for Monday's series opener, per Corey Brock of The Athletic.

Keston Hiura 2B | LAD
Brewers' Keston Hiura: Officially recalled by Brewers
Hiura was recalled by the Brewers on Monday.
Hiura was sent to Triple-A Nashville at the beginning of May, and he slashed .438/.526/.906 with three home runs, seven RBI and two stolen bases in nine minor-league games. Hitting the ball hard has never been a problem for Hiura, but it is a bit concerning that he struck out at a 34.2 percent clip during this latest run at Triple-A. The Brewers would like him to cement himself as the primary first baseman, but Daniel Vogelbach could still see some starts against righties until Hiura rounds into form.

Yandy Diaz DH | TB
Rays' Yandy Diaz: Resting in series finale
Diaz is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Blue Jays.
Tampa Bay is rolling out a lefty-heavy lineup to counter Blue Jays right-hander Trent Thornton in the series finale, so the righty-hitting Diaz will head to the bench, ending a string of six consecutive starts. Diaz went 0-for-14 in the first three games of the series with Toronto, dropping his season average to .255.

Keston Hiura 2B | LAD
Brewers' Keston Hiura: Rejoining Milwaukee
The Brewers plan to recall Hiura from Triple-A Nashville ahead of Monday's series opener against the Padres, Robert Murray of FanSided.com reports.
After Hiura posted a .513 OPS while striking out in 36 percent of his plate appearances over his first 26 games of the season in the majors, the Brewers sent him to Triple-A on May 3 to regain some confidence at the dish. While the 24-year-old still turned in a bloated 34.2 percent strikeout rate with Nashville over the past three weeks, he at least rediscovered his power stroke (three home runs and six doubles in 38 plate appearances). Though he'll be moving back up to the big club, Hiura isn't a lock to recapture an everyday role at first base, where Daniel Vogelbach has delivered a respectable .784 OPS since Hiura was demoted. The righty-swinging Hiura may have to initially settle for the short side of a platoon at the position with the lefty-hitting Vogelbach until the Brewers feel more confident Hiura can handle a full-time role.
