  • Matt Olson 1B | ATL

Athletics' Matt Olson: Goes deep Saturday

Olson went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, a walk and two runs scored in Saturday's 7-0 win over the Tigers.

Olson got the Athletics on the board with a 438-foot shot to right field in the first inning -- one of three long balls Oakland hit off Detroit starter Casey Mize. He is tied for the team lead with three home runs and has also knocked in eight runs. Olson has gone 8-for-20 with all three of his homers over his past six games.

  • Blue Jays' Vladimir Guerrero: Belts fourth homer

Guerrero went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and a second run scored in the first game of Saturday's doubleheader against the Royals.

He walked and scored another run in the nightcap, but it was his sixth-inning blast off Mike Minor that was the highlight of Guerrero's day. The 22-year-old appears headed for his long-awaited breakout campaign, and through 15 games he's slashing a dazzling .412/.524/.706 with four homers and 11 RBI.

  • Dominic Smith DH | ATL

Mets' Dominic Smith: On bench for night game

Smith will sit for the second game of Saturday's doubleheader against the Rockies, Deesha Thosar of the New York Daily News reports.

Smith went 0-for-3 with a walk and a pair of strikeouts in the first game of the day. Brandon Nimmo slides to left field in the evening game, with Kevin Pillar starting in center.

  • Matt Beaty 1B | KC

Dodgers' Matt Beaty: Sent to alternate training site

Beaty was optioned to the alternate training site Saturday, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

The 27-year-old cracked the Opening Day roster and saw most of his action off the bench through the first two weeks of the season. Beaty went 1-for-11 with six strikeouts and could rejoin the big-league club when another bench piece is needed.

  • Ty France 1B | SD

Mariners' Ty France: Laces walk-off hit Friday

France went 2-for-4 with a game-winning RBI single, a double and a run in a victory over the Astros on Friday.

France's latest timely hit snapped a 5-5 tie in the bottom of the ninth inning and plated J.P. Crawford with the winning run. The 26-year-old is up to an impressive .288/.387/.462 slash when factoring in Friday's production, and he's reached safely in five of his last six contests.

  • Reds' Alex Blandino: Lands on injured list

Blandino was placed on the injured list for undisclosed reasons Saturday.

The Reds didn't specify whether Blandino landed on the 10-day injured list or the COVID-19 injured list, so it's unclear how long he'll be unavailable. Mark Payton was recalled in a corresponding move.

  • Bobby Dalbec 1B | CHW

Red Sox's Bobby Dalbec: Not in Saturday's lineup

Dalbec isn't starting Saturday's game against the White Sox, Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe reports.

Dalbec went 1-for-6 with a run and four strikeouts in the past two games. Marwin Gonzalez will start at first base Saturday, batting sixth.

  • Josh Naylor 1B | SEA

Indians' Josh Naylor: Three-hit effort Friday

Naylor went 3-for-4 with a double and two singles in Friday's 10-3 loss to the Reds.

Naylor was effective at the plate, but he couldn't drive in any runs or score in the contest. The right fielder/first baseman is slashing .273/.289/.364 with no homers, no RBI, three runs scored and no stolen bases in 12 games. He's likely to see most of the playing time in right field, although Franmil Reyes or Jordan Luplow are also in the mix at the position.

  • Anthony Rizzo 1B | NYY

Cubs' Anthony Rizzo: Reaches base three times in loss

Rizzo went 1-for-3 with two walks in Friday's loss to Atlanta.

Like many of Chicago's regulars, Rizzo is struggling with a .182 batting average through 13 games, but he's at least been able to record a hit in three straight contests. The slugging first baseman is too talented to stay down for long, so fantasy managers will just need to remain patient and hope a hot streak is around the corner.

  • Rowdy Tellez 1B | ATL

Blue Jays' Rowdy Tellez: Not starting Game 1

Tellez isn't starting Game 1 of Saturday's doubleheader against Kansas City.

Tellez had recorded hits in each of the last four games and went 6-for-16 with a home run, three runs and two RBI during that time. However, Alejandro Kirk will serve as the designated hitter for Saturday's matinee, batting sixth.
