Gurriel went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer in a 5-4 win over the Angels on Friday.

His fifth-inning shot off Noe Ramirez put the Astros in the lead for good. Gurriel is slashing .329/.390/.671 with six long balls and a massive 23 RBI through 19 games in August, and the 35-year-old continues to pad his career-high totals of 26 homers and 91 RBI on the year.

Calhoun went 4-for-4 with a double, a solo home run and a second run scored in Friday's 5-4 loss to the Astros.

His eighth-inning shot off Hector Rondon got the Angels to within a run, but they couldn't complete the comeback. Calhoun is slashing .239/.330/.484 on the year, and his 28 homers are already a new career high.

Freeman went 1-for-5 with an RBI and a walk Friday night against the Mets.

Freeman kicked off the scoring in this one with an RBI single to center field. He continues to produce at the dish this season for Atlanta, registering three home runs and six RBI over his last four matchups.

Voit (abdomen) is playing first base and leading off for Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Friday, Randy Miller of NJ.com reports.

Voit is making his first appearance since going on the 10-day injured list with a sports hernia July 31. Barring any setbacks, he is likely to rejoin the big club when it begins the next homestand against Oakland on Aug. 30. The 28-year-old is hitting .278 with 19 homers and 54 RBI in 349 at-bats with the Yankees this season.

Tellez isn't in the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Mariners.

Tellez smacked his 15th home run of the season Thursday, but he'll take a seat for Friday night's clash. Justin Smoak is starting at first base and batting fifth with Tellez on the bench.

Naylor is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Red Sox.

Naylor rarely starts against left-handed pitchers, so it should come as little surprise that he was held out Friday with southpaw Eduardo Rodriguez on the bump for the Red Sox. Wil Myers will occupy Naylor's regular spot in left field.

Cron is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Tigers.

Cron finds himself on the bench for the third straight contest as he has a .236/.311/.364 slash line in August. Ehire Adrianza will start at first base and bat seventh Friday for the Twins.

Guerrero went 3-for-4 with a solo home run in Thursday's loss to the Dodgers.

Guerrero crushed a curveball over the center field wall in the sixth inning to stake Toronto to a 2-0 lead. The 20-year-old has enjoyed a tremendous August, batting .381 (24-for-63) with four homers and 12 RBI in 18 games. In his rookie season, Guerrero is now slashing .282/.356/.477 with 15 long balls and 55 runs batted in over 396 plate appearances.

Freeman went 1-for-4 with a solo home run Thursday against the Marlins.

Freeman took Ryne Stanek deep in the eighth inning to record his 34th home run of the season, while also knotting the game at 2-2. He's gone an uncharacteristic 6-for-31 across his last eight contests, though he continues to provide plenty of pop as he's smacked five homers in that span. For the season, Freeman has maintained a strong .304/.395/.575 line across 570 plate appearances.

Raley (ankle) began a rehab assignment in the Gulf Coast League on Thursday, going 1-for-4 with a solo home run.

He has been out with a dislocated tendon in his left ankle since mid-May, but is making a run at getting back to Triple-A this season. He is not on the 40-man roster, so he is unlikely to make it to the big leagues this season.
