Cabrera went 1-for-3 with a walk against the Dodgers on Monday and is hitting .387 (12-for-31) over 13 spring games.

Cabrera, who batted out of the five hole Monday, has been a constant presence in the middle of Texas' order during Cactus League games. The Rangers feel confident in his ability to handle the transition to being the everyday third baseman. A sign of that was when they sent Patrick Wisdom to Triple-A Nashville earlier this week. At some point, the 33-year-old may slow down, but he's played no fewer than 135 games (540 plate appearances) since 2011.

Voit went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and two strikeouts Monday against the Braves.

Voit took Bryse Wilson deep for his fourth homer of the spring in the second inning. Voit continues to hit well, going 10-for-34 and slugging .676 in Grapefruit League action. Though he has been locked in a battle with Greg Bird to be the Yankees' starting first baseman, Aaron Hicks' (shoulder) injury will likely give both Bird and Voit the chance to break camp on the big-league roster.

Goldschmidt went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run Monday against the Phillies.

Goldschmidt launched an offering from Zach Eflin over the left-field wall in the bottom of the fifth inning to record his first home run of spring training with his new club. The long ball was his third extra-base hit, and he is now 10-for-36 with seven walks in Grapefruit League action.

Votto is hitting only .100/.438/.100 in 20 spring training at-bats so far. He doesn't have an extra-base hit yet, but has drawn 12 walks.

It's one of the stranger spring training lines so far, but it comes with the caveat that it's been with a tiny sample, and at a time where Votto has been toying with his swing. It might raise a concern only because Votto is coming off a year where he didn't hit for power, but he's also traditionally a slow starter. There hasn't been any reported injuries this spring.

Hoskins is hitting a modest .235/.333/.353 through 13 spring games.

Hoskins' role as the Phillies' everyday first baseman won't be threatened by a slight spring slump. In their three games in the lineup together, new signee Bryce Harper has hit third, with Hoskins batting cleanup. Hoskins should enjoy an improved lineup around him this season, with three new bats (Andrew McCutchen, Jean Segura and Harper) hitting in front of him and plenty of protection behind him in the form of J.T. Realmuto. He'll also no longer have to deal with the distraction of learning left field.

The Red Sox reassigned Dalbec to their minor-league camp Monday, Christopher Smith of MassLive.com reports.

One of Boston's top position prospects, Dalbec didn't make much of a mark during Grapefruit League play, going 6-for-30 with no home runs and nine strikeouts. Despite the lack of long balls this spring, Dalbec remains a high-end power hitter and is coming off a huge season split between Double-A Portland and High-A Salem in which he racked up 70 extra-base hits, including 32 home runs. He'll either head back to Portland or move up to Triple-A Pawtucket to begin the season.

Alonso went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Sunday's Grapefruit League game against the Nationals.

His fourth blast of the spring came off Henderson Alvarez, who's attempting to make a comeback after tossing only 37 big-league innings over the last four seasons. Alonso also struck out twice, giving him a 3:10 BB:K through 16 games, but his .347/.385/.673 slash line still pops. Meanwhile, Dominic Smith -- who got the start at DH in Sunday's contest -- went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts. Smith may get the nod on Opening Day if the Mets look to play service-time games with Alonso, but it should only be a few weeks before his prodigious power is a part of the Mets' everyday lineup.

Hiura went 1-for-2 with a three-run double in Sunday's spring game against the Dodgers.

Hiura just missed a grand slam when he hit a go-ahead, bases-clearing double in the eighth inning of Sunday's contest, but he still raised his RBI total to 13 and OPS to .921. Despite the hot spring, Hiura is bound to open the season in the minor leagues, as the Brewers are stocked with veterans in the infield and Hiura has not yet seen action above the Double-A level. Still, he remains the club's top prospect and has a chance to make his big-league debut this season. Exactly when that could occur will depend on several items, though, with all of service-time deadlines, injuries, and how well Hiura hits over the next few months factoring into the decision.

Casas went 0-for-1 with a walk and a strikeout in Sunday's game against the Rays.

Casas made his debut in a major-league game, entering in the fifth inning for first baseman Mitch Moreland. Casas was Boston's first-round pick in 2018, then suffered a season-ending thumb injury two games into his professional career. He played third base in high school, but the organization is deep at that position, so expect to see more of the 6-foot-5, 240-pound Casas being exposed to first base.

Tellez went 1-for-2 with a home run off the bench in Sunday's Grapefruit League win over the Twins.

His fourth long ball of the spring broke an 8-8 tie and proved to be the game-winner. Tellez impressed after earning his first callup last September, and he's now batting .295/.326/.591 through 16 spring games, but Mike Wilner of Sportsnet 590 The Fan says Tellez is still likely to start the year at Triple-A, barring injury. There are two paths to playing time for Tellez this season: first base and DH.
