Freeman went 1-for-1 with a solo homer in Wednesday's loss to the Red Sox.

Freeman went deep in the bottom of the eighth inning in his lone at-bat of the game to put the Braves up 8-7, though the Red Sox would respond with two runs of their own to claim the victory. While the 28-year-old first baseman has cooled off at the dish over the past two weeks, he's still hitting an impressive .307/.388/.507 with 21 homers and eight stolen bases on the season.

Bell is not in the lineup against the Reds on Wednesday, Adam Berry of MLB.com reports.

Bell will remain on the bench for the second straight game after starting the previous seven. In his place, Jose Osuna will man first base and bat sixth.

Cabrera went 2-for-4 with a walk, a homer, a run and three RBI in Tuesday's win in Miami.

Cabrera hit a two-run double in the second inning to stretch Philadelphia's lead to five. He increased the margin to six in his next at-bat with a fourth-inning solo shot, his 23rd homer of the season. He's now just two shy of his career high of 25, set back in 2011, and is hitting .342/.375/.684 with three homers in his last 10 games.

Santana went 2-for-5 with a walk, a homer, two runs and two RBI in Tuesday's victory over the Marlins.

Leading off for the second time in four games, Santana set the tone from the start, opening the game with a leadoff homer, his 21st of the season. Santana's batting average remains quite low at .227, but that's brought down by poor batted-ball luck from the start of the season; the first baseman's expected batting average according to Statcast is a solid .263, right in line with the .259 batting average he recorded in each of the last two seasons.

Freeman is out of the lineup Wednesday against the Red Sox.

It appears Freeman is receiving some maintenance time with the Braves playing a day game after a night game, allowing Lucas Duda to check into the lineup at first base. Freeman's bid for the NL MVP award has lost some steam over the past two weeks, with the 28-year-old slashing just .157/.228/.216 across his last 13 starts.

Voit went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and a strikeout in Tuesday's win over the Athletics.

Voit delivered the decisive blow, breaking a 1-1 tie in the eighth inning in the eventual 5-1 win. The first baseman has now gone deep in three straight games and has seemingly leaped Greg Bird on the depth chart by hitting .322/.385/.678 with seven homers in his first 19 games with the Yankees.

Gurriel went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer in Tuesday's win over the Twins.

Gurriel tagged Trevor May for a two-run home run -- his 10th of the year -- in the first inning. It was Gurriel's second home run in as many days, yet only his third hit in his last 24 at-bats. The 34-year-old is hitting .275/.309/.408 with 29 doubles, 67 RBI and 59 runs scored on the year.

Diaz went 3-for-4 with a home run, a triple, three runs, two RBI, one walk and one strikeout Tuesday against the Royals.

This was Diaz's first home run in 245 MLB plate appearances. He is now slashing .333/.364/.476 in 66 plate appearances this season. Diaz has started three of the last four games at designated hitter, but with rosters expanded and Josh Donaldson (calf) nearing activation, that playing time pattern is not guaranteed to continue. Diaz has proven for several years in the upper levels that he can hit for average and get on base at a high clip, but he needs to tap into noteworthy power to profile down the defensive spectrum.

Rizzo, who left Tuesday's game with a bruised right foot, will not miss Wednesday's game against the Brewers, Jesse Rogers of ESPN.com reports.

He fouled a ball off his foot in the third inning and X-rays came back negative. While the Brewers ended up winning 11-1, they were only up 3-1 when Victor Caratini replaced Rizzo at first base in the bottom of the sixth inning, so his removal likely wasn't related to the score. That said, Wednesday's series finale is a huge game in the race for the NL Central crown, so it's not surprising to hear that Rizzo will be back out there. He went 0-for-2 and was hit by a pitch before exiting.

Rizzo exited Tuesday's game at Milwaukee with a right foot bruise, Carrie Muskat of MLB.com reports.

Rizzo fouled a ball off his foot during the third inning, but thankfully X-Rays came back negative. The 29-year-old should be considered day-to-day as he continues to be evaluated.
