Cabrera exited Wednesday's game against the Marlins early with leg cramps, Matt Ehalt of The Record reports.

Cabrera went 2-for-3 with a two-run homer before being replaced by Matt Reynolds in the eighth inning. The Mets were up by eight runs when he was subbed out, so it's possible the move was simply precautionary. Consider him day-to-day for the time being.

Freeman (wrist) was able to take batting practice on the field before Wednesday's game against the Padres, Kevin McAlpin of 680 The Fan reports.

Freeman said he felt good after, giving him confidence that he'll be able to return for next Thursday's series opener against the Nationals. "Obviously that was what I wanted to do and now I think it's going to happen," the corner infielder said when asked about him coming off the DL next week. He'll still wait to see how he does during his rehab assignment before returning to action, but barring any setbacks, it seems like Freeman could be back with the Braves when they head to Washington on July 6.

Joseph went 1-for-4 with a home run and walk in Wednesday's 5-4 win in Seattle.

After working a full count, Joseph turned on a 98-mph fastball from Mariners closer Edwin Diaz, clubbing a game-tying home run over the left field fence. The Phillies eventually won on an Andrew Knapp RBI single later in the inning. Joseph offers good power numbers - he has 13 home runs and 12 doubles - but he's lacking in the other categories. He has just 38 RBI and is hitting .250 for the season. Until he improves on his 25 percent K rate, Joseph will be a single-category fantasy asset, especially at first base.

Carter was outrighted to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Wednesday.

It's been quite the fall for Carter, who went from hitting 41 home runs with the Brewers in 2016 to going unclaimed off waivers less than a year later. The first baseman is still capable of supplying power, but his climbing strikeout rate (a career-high 37 percent this season) and lack of defensive utility make him an unappealing bench bat for many teams, at least while he's owed $3 million in 2017. He'll need to curb the strikeouts and provide home-run production on a more regular basis in order to earn another look from the Yankees.

Abreu went 2-for-5 with three RBI, including a two-run, walk-off single in Tuesday's 4-3 win over the Yankees.

Abreu delivered the game-winning knock off New York reliever Dellin Betances with two outs to snap Chicago's four-game losing streak. Lately, delivering with runners in scoring position has been the rule more than the exception for Abreu, who's plated 21 runners over the last 21 games.

Freeman (wrist) will participate in on-field batting practice Wednesday and Thursday with hopes of beginning his minor-league rehab assignment Saturday, Kevin McAlpin of 680 The Fan reports.

Freeman is entering the final stages of his extended rehab program after being placed on the disabled list May 18 with a fractured left wrist. If he is indeed able to begin his minor-league assignment Saturday, then the slugging corner infielder could be on track to rejoin the Braves prior to the All-Star break that begins July 10.

Calhoun went 1-for-3 with a walk, two stolen bases and a run scored in Monday's win over the Dodgers.

The pair of steals were Calhoun's third and fourth of the year. The veteran outfielder has never tallied more than five stolen bases in any of his previous seasons, so he is on pace to set a new career high. The 29-year-old still owns a disappointing .249/.329/.386 slash line through 77 games, but a strong showing in June (.344/.415/.544) has his stock trending back up.

Rizzo is starting at first base and batting leadoff Tuesday against the Nationals.

Rizzo is back in the leadoff spot after hitting second in Monday's series opener against the Nationals. Manager Joe Maddon said he dropped Rizzo from the top of the order because of his unimpressive career numbers against southpaw Gio Gonzalez, according to Carrie Muskat of MLB.com. Rizzo will likely stick in the leadoff spot for the time being, as he is slashing .333/.400/.714 with four homers and 11 RBI in 11 games atop the order this season.

Mountcastle, 20, is batting .315/.342/.550 with 13 home runs, 43 RBI and five steals through 71 games for High-A Frederick.

The breakout season continues for Mountcastle, though it is worth noting his 50:10 K:BB. In other words, Mountcastle is not patient in the batter's box, which could come back to haunt him at the higher levels. For now, though, it is difficult to argue with the results, and he may just be the top prospect for the Orioles.

Tellez, 22, is hitting .212/.285/.338 with five home runs and 30 RBI through 64 games for Triple-A Buffalo.

The sluggish season thus far from Tellez also happens to coincide with a stellar year for Justin Smoak, the starting first baseman for the big club. As a result -- and with Kendrys Morales still in the fold as well -- Tellez will have to bide his time in the minors waiting for an injury or trade.
