Calhoun went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and two runs scored in Sunday's 5-2 win over Texas.

Despite Calhoun's slow start to the year and mediocre .255/.333/.343 slash line, he does have multi-hit games in four of his last five and appears to be heating up for his owners. The left-handed-hitting outfielder should be a decent source of runs and RBI in the Angels lineup, but don't expect him to return to the 20-homer mark. Still, he should be owned in all mixed formats despite his slow start.

Votto hit an RBI single in the eighth inning Sunday off of the Cardinals' Trevor Rosenthal to put the Reds ahead in their eventual win. He went 2-for-5 on the day.

After Sunday, Votto ends the month of April hitting .256/.337/.578 with eight homers and 19 RBI. While the batting average and OBP are well below his customary numbers, overall, it's a far cry from last year's slow start.

Naylor was placed on the 7-day disabled list after being hit in the face on a pick-off throw Saturday.

It appears Naylor will indeed need to miss some time after taking a pick-off throw directly to the face. He had been off to a nice start with High-A Lake Elsinore this season, hitting for a .306 batting average to go along with five home runs in 106 plate appearances thus far. Naylor will be hoping to get back on the field soon in order to continue what looked to be the start of an impressive season.

Freeman went 3-for-5 with a double, a stolen base, two runs scored and an RBI in Saturday's win over the Brewers.

The Braves laid into Milwaukee pitching for 11 runs on 20 hits Saturday, and Freeman got his fair share of the action. He has more multi-hit games (eight) than hitless performances (five) so far this season, and his .383/.485/.778 slash line has been buoyed by a stellar 16:16 BB:K through 22 games. He also has four steals already, putting him just two shy of last year's career high and giving Freeman a little extra fantasy value.

Cabrera is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Nationals.

It appears Cabrera is just receiving a day of rest for Sunday's matinee against the Nationals. Jose Reyes is taking over at shortstop. Expect Cabrera to be back in the lineup Monday against the Braves.

Calhoun went 2-for-4 with a walk and a run scored in Saturday's loss to the Rangers.

Calhoun has been disappointing thus far to those who expected him to replicate his solid .786 OPS from last season, but he seems to be getting back to his old self. Saturday marked the third time in four games that the 29-year-old collected multiple hits, and he's also struck out just twice in that same span.

Naylor was removed from Saturday's game with High-A Lake Elsinore after being hit in the face by a thrown ball, Dennis Lin of the San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

According to eyewitnesses, the young Canadian didn't see a pickoff throw coming and ultimately took the throw right off his face. He was removed from the game immediately, although it's unclear how severe the injury is or if he'll miss any time due to this. Consider him day-to-day until more details emerge. Prior to this incident, Naylor was batting .305 with five home runs and 22 RBI in 22 games.

Rizzo went 1-for-2 with a two-run homer during Saturday's win over Boston.

The blast was Rizzo's fifth in eight games, and it also pulled the Cubs within a run of the Red Sox in the top of the fourth inning. The first baseman is up to 15 runs, six home runs, 17 RBI, four stolen bases and a .269/.382/.516 slash line. While that's a juicy five-category return, any contribution in stolen bases should probably be viewed as a bonus going forward.

Joseph is not in the starting lineup Saturday against the Dodgers, Eric Stephen of True Blue LA reports.

Brock Stassi gets the start at first base for the third time in five days, suggesting Joseph could be in line for a diminished role moving forward. The 25-year-old is hitting just .190 with one home run this season and has proven to be a black hole in the middle of the lineup, so he may need to improve quickly to remain a regular in the Phillies' lineup.

Abreu went 2-for-3 with a pair of solo homers and two walks in Saturday's victory over the Tigers.

Abreu's first homer of 2017 gave the White Sox a 3-1 lead on Michael Fulmer and the Tigers before he launched his second of the contest in the eighth inning to add to the lead. Although he's had a rough start to the year, his batting average has been on a steady climb to .269, as he's collected two hits in each of his last five contests. Hopefully as the weather starts to warm up, the 30-year-old can go on an extended tear and earn the fantasy value owners were expecting when drafting him.
