Rizzo went 3-for-3 with a walk and two runs scored in a 3-for-3 game in Monday's win over the Marlins.

Rizzo had been relatively cold, as his last multi-hit game came July 20 against the Mets. He fell a home run short of the cycle as he managed a double and a triple, and the addition of a walk brought his OBP up to .396, which would be a career high. He has been the total package this year, with a 53:73 BB:K showing he has plenty of discipline to go with his obvious power.

Flores went 2-for-4 with a home run, a walk and two runs scored in a loss Monday to the Yankees.

Flores was just 3-for-19 in his last five games but busted out of his slump with the blast off CC Sabathia in the second inning. With Jose Reyes out, he should see everyday at-bats. His power has been impressive this year, as he now has 11 home runs and a career high .459 slugging percentage in 209 at-bats.

Carter went 1-for-2 with a solo homer and two walks Sunday against the Pirates.

Carter launched his 24th bomb of 2016 to close out the scoring for the Brewers in the fifth inning of a home victory. He just completed his worst hitting month of the year, as he only collected 14 hits in 81 at-bats, and he's now slashing .217/.305/.481 on the season.

Manager Terry Collins indicated after Sunday's game that he's "really concerned about it," suggesting Cabrera's knee could be a major injury, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports. He will visit doctors regarding the knee Monday.

Cabrera has been diagnosed with a strained tendon in his left knee, so a major issue could result in a large chunk of time missed. More information and a potential timetable could come at some point following the visit to the doctor's office Monday, but the initial prognosis isn't good. If he winds up missing extended time, Kelly Johnson and Wilmer Flores could see boosted playing time.

Cabrera was diagnosed with a strained tendon in his left knee, Matt Ehalt of The Record reports.

The severity of Cabrera's injury has yet to be announced, however, he suffered a similar injury in spring training. The last time Cabrera dealt with a strained tendon, he was out for approximately two weeks. If that proves to be an accurate estimation for a timetable this time around, Cabrera would almost certainly require a DL stint.

Cabrera left Sunday's game against the Marlins after he suffered a lower leg injury, MLB.com's Anthony DiComo reports.

Cabrera appeared to have slipped while rounding third base, and was in visible pain while crossing the plate before he ultimately needed to be helped off the field by team trainers. Kelly Johnson will enter the game in the second inning as a replacement, while Wilmer Flores will take over at shortstop. If this ailment hold Cabrera out for an extended period of time, Flores stands to benefit the most from a playing time standpoint in the short term.

Abreu is out of the lineup Sunday against the Twins, Colleen Kane of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Manager Robin Ventura confirmed after the lineup was released that it's a pre-scheduled day off for Abreu, who could certainly use a break. He's endured a power outage throughout July, producing no homers and just eight RBI and six runs over 106 plate appearances during the month. Todd Frazier will spell Abreu at first base.

Flores went 1-for-4 with an RBI on Saturday versus the Rockies.

Flores thought he had hit his 11th homer of the season in the bottom of the ninth inning, but it was overturned after the replay determined it was fan interference. Regardless of the call, he showed that the July power surge is still in effect. The third baseman has seven homers this month. Before 2016, Flores had never hit more than five in a single month (and he only did that once).

Calhoun is not in the lineup for Saturday's tilt with Boston, Jeff Fletcher of the Orange County Register reports.

He'll be replaced in the lineup by Shane Robinson, who's starting in right field and batting ninth. Calhoun's production has dipped slightly since the start of the second half, as he's gone just 10-for-47 (.213) in his last 14 games. He does have eight runs and seven RBI during that span, however.

Santana went 1-for-3 with a solo homer, a walk and two runs in Friday's 5-3 come-from-behind victory over the A's.

Santana got the Indians' comeback from a 3-0 deficit started with 386-foot shot to right center in the sixth, and subsequently scored a valuable insurance run in the seventh on a Francisco Lindor sacrifice fly. It was the veteran slugger's second homer since the break and keeps him well on pace to surpass the career-best 27 homers he's managed on two prior occasions.
