Triston Casas 1B | BOS
Red Sox's Triston Casas: Continues to heat up
Casas went 1-for-3 with a walk and a solo home run in Tuesday's 9-4 win over the Mariners.
He took Luis Castillo deep in the first inning to close out a four-run frame for the Red Sox. Casas had a tough start to the season that saw him show off his patience and little else, but fantasy GMs who responded with patience of their own have seen the 23-year-old first baseman slash .306/.409/.583 so far in May, while half of Casas' six homers on the year have come in the last eight games.

Pete Alonso 1B | BAL
Mets' Pete Alonso: Hits home run No. 14
Alonso went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer and two runs scored in Tuesday's loss to the Rays.
Alonso took Yonny Chirinos deep to left in the seventh inning and has put himself back into a tie with Max Muncy atop the league with 14 home runs. The 28-year-old continues to struggle to hit for average. He has not had a multi-hit game since April 27, but he's still been managing to get on base (.409 OBP over his last 10 games). For the year, Alonso is slashing .233/.33/.516 with 33 RBI, 28 runs and a 22:42 BB:K over 183 plate appearances.

Christian Walker 1B | HOU
Diamondbacks' Christian Walker: Clubs 10th homer
Walker went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's loss against the Athletics.
Walker wasted no time getting the Diamondbacks on the board, swatting a two-run homer off Kyle Muller in the first inning and moving into a tie for 10th place in most home runs in MLB this season. The right-handed slugger ended up reaching base in each of his first three plate appearances, hitting an infield single in the third before being walked in the fifth. Though Walker had registered one hit in his last 16 at-bats, he has maintained strong plate discipline by drawing seven walks in that span. After exploding onto the fantasy scene with 36 home runs a season ago (160 games), Walker is on pace to beat those numbers in 2023 having whacked 10 long balls through 40 games.

Ryan O'Hearn 1B | PIT
Orioles' Ryan O'Hearn: Smacks first homer
O'Hearn went 1-for-1 with a solo home run in Tuesday's win over the Angels.
O'Hearn got Baltimore on the board with his first home run of the year, a solo shot off Chase Silseth in the second inning to tie the game 1-1. The 29-year-old O'Hearn is now 6-for-25 with seven RBI and a .710 OPS in 12 games with the Orioles. He slashed .239/.290/.321 with one homer in 145 plate appearances with the Royals last season. While Tuesday's homer is encouraging, it's hard to see O'Hearn playing enough to earn a fantasy-relevant role in Baltimore.

Ryan Mountcastle 1B | BAL
Orioles' Ryan Mountcastle: Home run, double off bench
Mountcastle went 2-for-2 with a double and a two-run homer in Tuesday's 7-3 win over the Angels.
Mountcastle ripped a double after pinch hitting for Ryan O'Hearn in the fourth inning before launching a two-run home run off Andrew Wantz in the sixth. The two-hit game snapped an 0-for-11 stretch for Mountcastle. He's now slashing .253/.279/.483 with nine home runs, 26 runs scored and 29 RBI through 183 plate appearances this season.

Matt Mervis 1B | WAS
Cubs' Matt Mervis: Hits first MLB home run
Mervis went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's loss to the Astros.
Mervis connected against Cristian Javier in the second inning for his first career MLB home run. He had six long balls in 24 games at the Triple-A level this season and should continue to develop his power stroke in the majors as he settles in. The rookie is now batting .250 with a .650 OPS across nine games and figures to stick as the team's primary option at first base for the foreseeable future.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. 1B | TOR
Blue Jays' Vladimir Guerrero: Leaves with right knee discomfort
Guerrero will undergo an MRI after leaving Tuesday's game against the Yankees with right knee discomfort, Mike Wilner of the Toronto Star reports. He went 1-for-4 with an RBI before exiting.
It appears Guerrero tweaked his knee while attempting to field a bunt in the eighth inning, and Brandon Belt replaced the first baseman to begin the ninth inning. Guerrero should be considered day-to-day, but the infielder told reporters he's unsure on his status going forward. The results of the MRI will obviously help determine how quickly he gets back in the lineup.

Josh Naylor 1B | SEA
Guardians' Josh Naylor: Leaves with leg tightness
Bell left Tuesday's game against the White Sox with left leg tightness, Mandy Bell of MLB.com reports.
Naylor went 1-for-2 before leaving for pinch-hitter Brayan Rocchio, with Rocchio moving to third base and Gabriel Arias shifting to first. The exit appeared to be precautionary, and for now Naylor should be considered day-to-day.

Nick Pratto 1B | TEX
Royals' Nick Pratto: Day off Tuesday
Pratto isn't starting Tuesday against the Padres.
Pratto has been incredible to start the season, slashing .328/.411/.500 through 73 plate appearances, but he will take a seat to begin Tuesday's contest. Vinnie Pasquantino will start at first base, moving Salvador Perez into the DH spot and Freddy Fermin in as the Royals' catcher.

Ryan Noda 1B | BAL
Athletics' Ryan Noda: Out of lineup Tuesday
Noda is out of the starting lineup against the Diamondbacks on Tuesday.
Noda has not gotten much playing time against southpaws, and the left-handed hitting first baseman gets a night off against Tommy Henry and the Diamondbacks. Jesus Aguilar gets the start at first and will hit fifth against Henry and Arizona.
