  • Rowdy Tellez 1B | ATL

Brewers' Rowdy Tellez: Not in Wednesday's lineup

Tellez isn't starting Wednesday's game against the Mets.

Tellez will get a rare day off after he went 1-for-13 with an RBI, two walks and two strikeouts over the last four games. Keston Hiura is starting at first base and batting sixth.

  • Bobby Dalbec 1B | CHW

Red Sox's Bobby Dalbec: Starting streak ends

Dalbec is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Athletics, Ian Browne of MLB.com reports.

Franchy Cordero is receiving the nod at first base, but Dalbec is effectively being replaced in the lineup by Triple-A Worcester call-up Jarren Duran, who is joining the starting outfield. Cordero had been seeing more time in the outfield of late following Enrique Hernandez's (hip) recent placement on the injured list, which had allowed Dalbec to earn more work against right-handed pitching. Dalbec started each of Boston's last seven contests.

  • Garrett Cooper 1B | ATL

Marlins' Garrett Cooper: Riding pine Wednesday

Cooper isn't in the lineup Wednesday against the Phillies, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

Cooper started in the last two games and went 2-for-9 with an RBI and two strikeouts. He'll get a breather while Jorge Soler serves as the designated hitter with Bryan De La Cruz starting in left field.

  • Carlos Santana 1B | ARI

Royals' Carlos Santana: Continuing to enjoy stable role

Santana will start at first base and bat seventh in Wednesday's game against the Giants.

Manager Mike Matheny suggested earlier in June that Santana was likely to see his playing time take a hit moving forward, but that hasn't come to fruition just yet. The 36-year-old will stick in the lineup for the eighth time in nine games, with his improved production at the plate likely playing a major factor in him receiving steady at-bats. Dating back to June 7, Santana has slashed .409/.552/.636 while walking seven times and striking out just once.

  • Josh Naylor 1B | SEA

    Guardians' Josh Naylor: Three-hit night

Naylor went 3-for-4 with an RBI single and two doubles in a 4-3 extra-inning win over the Rockies on Tuesday.

Naylor's three-hit performance lifts his batting average to .277 in a year when averages are down across the board. His mark puts him over 36 points above MLB's league-wide .241 average. After season-ending ankle surgery in 2021, Naylor is looking to put together his first full healthy season and rack up hits around the middle of the Guardians' batting order.

  • Luke Voit 1B | NYM

Padres' Luke Voit: Cashes in five

Voit went 2-for-6 with a home run, two runs scored and five RBI in a 12-5 win over the Cubs on Tuesday.

With his team down by five in the sixth, Voit hit a two-run shot to put his team on the board. He would also cash in the go ahead-run on a bases-clearing, three-RBI double his very next at-bat. Voit is now slashing .226/.306/.396 on the season. Despite carrying a 33.9 percent strikeout rate, Voit is a mainstay in the heart of the Padres lineup and should continue to see plenty of RBI opportunities from the cleanup spot.

  • Orioles' Ryan Mountcastle: Mashes homer No. 10

Mountcastle went 3-for-5 with two doubles, a two-run home run and a second run scored in Tuesday's 6-5 win over the Blue Jays.

His third-inning blast off Yusei Kikuchi got the Orioles on the board. Mountcastle has been annihilating the ball in June with 10 of his 12 hits (six doubles and four homers) on the month going for extra bases, and the power surge has pushed his slash line on the season to .262/.301/.460 with 10 homers and 30 RBI through 51 contests.

  • Cardinals' Paul Goldschmidt: Power surge continues in nightcap

Goldschmidt went 4-for-4 with two home runs, three runs scored and five RBI in a 9-1 win over the Pirates in the second game of Tuesday's doubleheader.

After going yard in the matinee, Goldschmidt kept flexing his muscles in the nightcap, clubbing homers off Bryse Wilson in the first and second innings to help give the Cardinals an early 7-0 lead. The first baseman is up to 16 homers on the season -- including four in his last three games -- putting him two behind Pete Alonso for the NL lead, to go along with a stellar .349/.431/.642 slash line.

  • Nate Lowe 1B | CIN

Rangers' Nathaniel Lowe: Adds another multi-hit game

Lowe went 3-for-5 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's 4-3 loss to the Astros.

Lowe's two-run shot in the fourth inning was his eighth of the season, seven of which he's hit over the last 23 games, and the multi-hit effort was his sixth in the last nine contests. He had nothing special going on during the first month-plus of the season while slashing .238/.290/.295 over the first 33 games, but his .991 OPS over the last 30 days ranks third among first basemen.

  • Ty France 1B | SD

Mariners' Ty France: Clubs 10th homer

France went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run and three strikeouts in Tuesday's 5-0 win over the Twins.

France doubled the Mariners' lead to 4-0 with his fifth-inning blast off Twins starter Joe Ryan. With the hit, France has gotten on base in nine straight games, with hits in seven of those contests, including three homers. The 27-year-old is up to 10 long balls, 41 RBI, 29 runs scored, 12 doubles and a .322/.399/.494 slash line through 278 plate appearances. The three strikeouts should be considered unusual -- he's only striking out at a 13.7 percent rate this year after Tuesday's undisciplined showing.
