Brandon Drury 2B | KC
Angels' Brandon Drury: Exits with hamstring tightness
Drury was removed from Wednesday's game against the Twins due to left hamstring tightness.
It wasn't immediately clear when Drury suffered the injury, but his hamstring was apparently bothering him enough to warrant his removal in the fifth inning. The Angels' scheduled off day Thursday will give him an extra day to rest, but Michael Stefanic could be in line for a start at second base if Drury's absence extends into Friday.

Kyle Farmer 3B | ATL
Twins' Kyle Farmer: Sitting after consecutive starts
Farmer is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Angels.
Farmer drew a rare start against a right-hander (Griffin Canning) in Tuesday's 10-5 win and came through with a big night, going 2-for-3 with a home run, a walk, three RBI and an additional run. Though the home run was his second in as many days and helped bring his OPS up to 1.471 in September, Farmer looks like he'll remain in a short-side platoon role for the Twins.

Michael Stefanic 2B | TOR
Angels' Michael Stefanic: Retreating to bench Wednesday
Stefanic is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Twins, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.
Stefanic will head to the bench after he went 1-for-9 with a walk, a run and an RBI while starting in each of the Angels' previous three games. With Anthony Rendon (oblique) recently landing on the injured list, Stefanic should have a chance at seeing steadier playing time in the Anaheim infield over the final two and a half weeks of the season.

Brandon Lowe 2B | PIT
Rays' Brandon Lowe: Rejoining lineup Wednesday
Lowe (finger) will serve as the Rays' designated hitter and No. 2 batter in Wednesday's game against the Phillies.
Lowe makes his return to the lineup after he didn't start in any of the Rays' past five games while he contended with ligament inflammation on both sides of his middle finger. He made pinch-hitting appearances in both of the first two games of the series and even saw some action at second base Monday, but the Rays aren't quite ready to let him play a full game in the field just yet. Lowe will be eased back in as the Rays' designated hitter, but it shouldn't be long before he resumes playing the keystone regularly.

Michael Massey 2B | KC
Royals' Michael Massey: Gets aboard three times
Massey went 1-for-1 with two walks and a stolen base in Tuesday's 5-0 win over the Yankees.
Massey got on base multiple times for just the second time over nine contests in September. He's cooled off after batting .311 in August, going 5-for-27 (.185) to open this month. Overall, the second baseman is at a .260/.291/.448 slash line with 12 home runs, one steal, 39 RBI and 40 runs scored over 301 plate appearances. Massey has picked up most of the playing time at second base recently, while Maikel Garcia and Paul DeJong compete for time at third and Adam Frazier begins most games on the bench.

Spencer Horwitz 1B | PIT
Blue Jays' Spencer Horwitz: Not in lineup
Horwitz is absent from the lineup for Wednesday's game versus the Mets.
With lefty Sean Manaea drawing the start on the mound for the Mets, the left-handed-batting Horwitz will begin the series finale on the bench. George Springer will fill the designated-hitter spot for Toronto.
-
Nicky Lopez 3B | COL
White Sox's Nicky Lopez: Idle against lefty
Lopez is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Guardians.
With lefty Matthew Boyd on the bump for the Guardians, the lefty-hitting Lopez will give way to Jacob Amaya at shortstop. Lopez had started in five of the White Sox's six matchups with right-handed pitchers in September, so he should maintain a strong-side platoon role in the middle infield, at least until Brooks Baldwin (wrist) comes off the injured list.

Christopher Morel DH | MIA
Rays' Christopher Morel: Pair of extra-base hits
Morel went 2-for-5 with a double, a triple and an RBI on Tuesday against the Phillies.
Morel got off to a slow start with the Rays but has managed at least one hit in 13 of his last 20 games. He's still lacked power in that span (.368 slugging percentage), so Tuesday's effort was an encouraging sign.
-
Andres Gimenez 2B | TOR
Guardians' Andres Gimenez: Swipes bag in win
Gimenez went 2-for-5 with a stolen base and one RBI in Tuesday's 5-0 win over the White Sox.
Gimenez saw a seven-game hitting streak end Monday, but he was right back at it with his second multi-hit effort of the month. The second baseman's improved batting in the second half of the season has helped him return to the No. 2 spot in the order versus right-handers after spending much of the campaign in the bottom half of the lineup. Gimenez is now at a .254/.304/.342 slash line with 28 steals, eight home runs, 58 RBI and 60 runs scored over 137 contests.

Jose Altuve 2B | HOU
Astros' Jose Altuve: Gets on base four times
Altuve went 3-for-5 with a double, a walk and two RBI in Tuesday's 4-3 extra-innings loss to the Athletics.
Altuve has multiple hits in four straight games, and he's added at least one double and one RBI in each of those contests. Since Aug. 27, he's batting .385 (20-for-52) with a home run, six doubles, six RBI and 12 runs scored over 13 games. The second baseman's surge has him up to a .304/.359/.452 slash line with 19 homers, 20 stolen bases, 62 RBI and 86 runs scored through 140 games overall.
