  • Padres' Xander Bogaerts: Gets going with home run

Bogaerts went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Sundays 4-0 win over the Dodgers.

Bogaerts gave the Padres some extra breathing room with a solo shot off Gus Varland in the fifth. The long ball was his first since April 21, his first RBI since April 25 and his first hit in 17 at-bats since May 6. Bogaerts is still searching for a spark offensively this season, as he's slashing just .211/.264/.301 with three homers, 12 RBI, 22 runs and a 12:36 BB:K in 178 plate appearances.

  • Reds' Jonathan India: Three hits, steal in loss

India went 3-for-5 with a stolen base in Sunday's 6-5 extra-inning loss to the Giants.

India posted his second multi-hit effort of May, but he's still hitting a modest .216 (8-for-37) for the month. All three of his hits Sunday were singles. The second baseman is up to a .225/.331/.310 slash line with two home runs, four steals, 11 RBI, 12 runs scored, three doubles and a triple over 35 contests this season. Despite his lackluster hitting, India's fourth on the team in batting average and sixth in OPS, so it's unlikely he'll lose a starting role any time soon.

  • Bryson Stott 2B | PHI

Phillies' Bryson Stott: Swipes two bags in loss

Stott went 2-for-2 with three walks, two stolen bases and a run scored in Sunday's 7-6 extra-inning loss to the Marlins.

Stott found a way to get on base in each of his plate appearances Sunday while also swiping two bags in the loss. He has recorded 10 stolen bases on the season while getting caught only once. Stott has notched at least one hit in eight out of his last nine contests, batting .414 with four extra-base hits, nine RBI, nine runs scored and five stolen bases over that stretch.

  • Rockies' Brendan Rodgers: Gets aboard three times

Rodgers went 2-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base in Sunday's 3-1 win over the Rangers.

Rodgers has hit safely in seven straight games, and four of those have been multi-hit performances. He's gone 11-for-27 (.407) in that span, but he's also logged just one extra-base hit, a double, during the streak. Rodgers had a mostly inconsistent start to the campaign, but he's up to a decent .268/.316/.354 slash line with one home run, eight RBI, 14 runs scored, six doubles and a triple through 36 contests. It's not a great line, but the second baseman could still find his power again with his home games at hitter-friendly Coors Field, though he's also sporting a 25.0 percent strikeout rate, his highest in four years.

  • Gavin Lux SS | TB

    Dodgers' Gavin Lux: Resting Sunday

Lux is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Padres.

Miguel Rojas will pick up a start at the keystone in the series finale while Lux rests. The 26-year-old has started in six of the Dodgers' first nine games in May, going 4-for-19 with a home run, three walks, two RBI and three runs.

  • Thairo Estrada 2B | BAL

Giants' Thairo Estrada: Sitting for series finale

Estrada is not in the starting lineup for Sunday's series finale against the Reds, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Estrada will sit for the first time since April 26, and Brett Wisely will start at second base Sunday against Reds right-hander Frankie Montas. Estrada is slashing .295/.340/.477 with two home runs and eight RBI in May.

  • Nick Gonzales 2B | PIT

Pirates' Nick Gonzales: Heads to bench Sunday

Gonzales is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Cubs.

Following his call-up from Triple-A Indianapolis, Gonzales had started at second base in the first two games of the series and went 1-for-7 with a walk, two RBI and a run scored. He'll give way to Alika Williams on Sunday, and the two could end up operating in a timeshare at the keystone until Ke'Bryan Hayes (back) returns from the injured list. Jared Triolo has acted as the Pirates' primary second baseman this season, but he'll see the majority of the starts at the hot corner while Hayes is on the mend.

  • Cubs' Miles Mastrobuoni: Tallies first three hits Saturday

Mastrobuoni went 3-for-4 with a walk, a double, an RBI and two runs scored in Saturday's 10-9 loss to the Pirates.

Mastrobuoni was productive from the No. 8 spot in the lineup and he recorded his first three hits of the season, as he came into the contest 0-for-14 across 10 games. The 28-year-old has bounced between Triple-A and the majors and serves in a utility role when he's with the Cubs, so he doesn't see a ton of regular playing time, which makes Saturday's performance an outlier.

  • Nico Hoerner 2B | CHC

Cubs' Nico Hoerner: Goes deep in loss

Hoerner went 1-for-3 with a walk, a solo home run, an additional run scored and two total RBI in Saturday's 10-9 loss to the Pirates.

Hoerner took rookie Paul Skenes deep in the fourth inning for just his second long ball of the season. He drove in another run an inning later when he walked with the bases loaded. The low power output isn't too surprising, as Hoerner had only nine home runs last year and just 10 in 2022. The shortstop has still been productive in May with a .300 batting average and .941 OPS for the month along with both homers and three stolen bases.

  • Bryson Stott 2B | PHI

Phillies' Bryson Stott: Plates four runs

Stott went 2-for-5 with four RBI in Saturday's 8-3 victory over the Marlins.

Stott's bases-clearing triple in the sixth inning put the Phillies ahead for what turned out to be for good. He also added an RBI single in the eighth. It's the second four-RBI game for Stott over his last 10 contests, and he's batting .375 with a couple homers and 13 RBI over that span.
